I LOVE this map and have been playing the Beta and having a good time. I have only read about half of this thread, so I'm sorry if these have been addressed, but a few comments:
1- I live in Hawaii, so when we say "Waimea" out here the first thing most Hawaiians think of is Waimea bay surf spot on ...

Re: Missing Game Log Data
cool, thanks for the reply. i figured it probably wouldn't be possible, but it was worth a try.
bummer end to an epic game, but its still just a game, so i'll get over it.

Re: Missing Game Log Data
this glitch has ruined one of my most enjoyable games ever. we've been playing for over a year, and it has been tense, close, back-and-forth with none of the final 3 players able to gain advantage. then the glitch occurs in Round 163. we try to each skip a turn so that it is fair for the person we ...

Re: Occupy Wall Street vs Tea Party
well, the TEA party stands for "taxed enough already" and they were formed during times of historically low taxes in a country that is among the least taxed in the world, so right away their argument seems invalid. i went to a couple of their meetings and am still on their email list. the issue my ...

I'm working on it. Trying to make the map look good again, but graphics aren't my strong suit, and I'm going on a quick trip to Hawaii soon, so won't be able to work on it while I'm there.
It's coming along though.

Re: Hawaii Map -[updated 13 July]
I'm going to step in right quick and say that while I understand the Letter-Number designations and the notes of suggestions, it's making this map look WAY rougher than it should be at this point in time. Stick with some bonus values, put the graphical touches that you want there anyway, and start ...

sorry folks, I can't keep up with these threads. i'm going to bow out.

Sadly, JoshyBoy is right. The average people keep getting screwed.

Re: Hawaii Map -[updated 13 July]
I'd also suggest lowering the outrigger neutrals to 2, since otherwise you'd have to go through 6 neutrals and a player's stack to break a player's bonus, as opposed to the adjusted 4 neutrals.

sounds good. next update will have outriggers start at 2 neutral. What do people think about ...

Re: Hawaii Map -[updated 11 July]
Here are my thoughts gameplay-wise: I think you should consider moving the H2-Ko1 border to H3. just to open up Hawaii a bit more.
-Sully
done. and i like it better.
i could also add more attack routes if you all think i should. just tell me where:

Okay, we can do that.
Here's a new update with revisions you suggested on Jan 27th. There is a lot of work still to be done, but before I start to make it look pretty we can solve gameplay problems. I gave the territories generic names so its easier to count and debate them. I didn't give the ...

where do you live?
i have found tuna and swordfish to be easy to grill, and especially tuna if you undercook it then it is still ok.
but you gotta buy good stuff. whole foods is generally pricey but worth it.

i've been playing since the late 90s. sometimes a lot, sometimes not.
ive played dozens of courses tho in about 15-20 US states. Its a great excuse to get out of the car when you are road-tripping.
its also just fun to play a round after work.
still have never hit a hole in one...

you guys know that Ayn Rand had to get help from the government near the end of her life, right?
i enjoyed reading her books as a youth, and they are inspirational, but they are about as practical as communism.
so in the end, she shrugged and went on medicare:

Universal, single payer health care is the most efficient and fiscally responsible way to run a country, as well as being the only morally acceptable choice. If you are for our current American system, then you are against balanced budgets and the teachings of Jesus.
