If needed, I can produce a mock up for reference quickly.

I am now going to be taking a long break from Conquer Club, for a long time this place almost ruled my life... (I will check this topic though, see if the map ever does go anywhere)

So long everyone, for a few months at least...

Ok, I thought I'd post here again, but it's with bad news.

I am not going to continue this map, although someone who can dedicate the time to it can. Infact, I really hope that someone can and will make this a map onto conquer club.

The simple fact is that I cannot dedicate any time to this ...

Bearing in mind it was made by someone from Japan I think they did a very good job.

Sure, it has its flaws, so do a lot of maps.

Oh the opinion of the CCer, it's always right. Every map is different and appeals to different people, it's not a matter of whether you think it sucks playability wise at all.

I've never played it much, but spice up the graphics a bit by all means, it doesn't have to be changed in any way with ...

Okay... June, most of the stressful things are out of the way. I'll try and get on top of this new programming workshop I'm doing and then try and put a bit more together and restore this map.

And you're not a noob?

Seriously this isn't the flame wars, you won, doesn't make you invincible, so give the guy a break and tell him nicely.

Oh, and well done on winning. :)

My map was in final forge for months and it never got added (EDIT: ok so I never really finished it but that's not the point, I didn't whinge). I notice you still haven't put the XML on the website for people to look at. Andy would probably like to have a look at that.

I also don't like the way ...

Dude, SERIOUSLY... This is ridiculous, you can't have a go at Andy, the amount of work that he puts into this site is crazy, you can't expect him to flag up everything wrong with your map himself and check up on every update you make. That's just not gonna happen.

Can I just make a few points. I ...

Right, it's looking really good now Marv. But I agree with the borders, have you gone through with a pixel tool and pixelled over the borders? You might want to make it less pixellated.

Also I'm not sure on the font for the country names. They just look too plain and boring. Try and spice them up ...

I hate the army shadows. They look like grey blobs that have fallen onto the map. They need to be more transparent in my opinion.

Other than that it looks good .

Oh and it might only be a minor point but the "Hold All Stars" box doesn't look quite right, all the others seem to have the shadow ...

Sounds very interesting, I kinda like it. Not sure what others would think of it though, maybe you could have it as an optional but I think lack has said somewhere he's against having too many options for a game.

Interesting idea though, maybe only on maps under 42 territories. As any above that ...

That's ridiculous though, think about an unlimited fortification game. Everyone would have 40/50 or more armies on each territory almost straight away and nothing would ever get conquered because people would be too scared to take anything.

Try it if you want but it seems like a crap idea to me  .
