Another issue that I'd like to address is the -1 bonus you've got. This will just turn into one person being screwed into having -1 all game.
My best idea right now (for dealing with the -1 and for balancing the dark blue continent bonus) is to switch the War Tax space with the Conquer Club space ...

Since a majority of players are familiar with the original Monopoly layout, it will be easier to find spaces on the board if they have the familiar names. If the names are all new, spaces will be harder to find (especially when some are written upside-down).

The blue region only has 3 borders right now, Boardwalk, "?", and the 1 bill. I think you need to slide the 50 up so that it touches both the 20 and Short Line.
So, what's going on here? Do you agree this should be addressed or perhaps have good reasoning for why it should stay?

I don't really care how many times the map has been updated... can you put what page the latest version is on in the thread title instead? It helps to catch up on the discussion if you haven't checked in for a while.

The route from Alameda to China Basin is a very smoooth curve, while the route from Emeryville to Alcatraz goes kinda straight for a ways, then turns kinda suddenly... like an elbow. I thought it ...

What about placing the arrows around the actual decks... pointing towards the Shields and Question marks...You could make them double sided since thats how normal attacks work...but one way attacks integrated might be an interesting twist

I think you could do a cool San Diego map, and I think you could do a cool Real Estate map, but I'm not feeling the synergy of the two together here yet.

A San Diego map would focus more on prominent features: Zoo, Sea World, TJ, Lego Land, surfers, military (Top Gun), immigrants, retired people ...

how do i save it in a way which i can view it on m?
The XML file needs to be saved as "plain text" but then named with ".xml" instead of ".txt". If it is saved as rich text or in Word, it won't work. There is another map making tool to check that the XML is valid.

The border tester needs a URL ...

I really don't think you guys can keep the name "Riskopoly" simply because of the fact that:
RISK is a registered trademark of Hasbro Inc. Conquer Club is not associated with RISK or Hasbro in any way.

I think jail should be like Alcatraz in the S.F. map, you can only attack into it, but not out. And you get +1 for having attack jail, and jail.
Jail provides an important route between the two continents in that corner. If jail was "attack in only" those would become the easiest bonuses to hold ...
