Pile of Awesome
What happened to PileofAwesome.com? Anyone know? I mean, did it officially disband or the owner just didn't feel like paying the fees anymore? Did it move?

Yes, I try to keep my account active on all risk sites, so when something big happens I know. Plus I read the suggestion forums on here to get an idea of what people like. Every now and then checking up on the chatters and seeing how people are doing and who stays and goes.

Hey guys, my website is nearly finished. It is finished enough so that I can play games on it, so as much as I enjoyed the members here on CC, I am going to focus more on the construction of my website and maintaining my own forums. Soon beta will be up and I have to work on that.

Unban Dancing Mustard
Ok, well my suggestion was closed. I was told to use an e-ticket. E-Tickets are not public though.
I would like to open up discussions on unbanning Dancing Mustard. Anyone who would like to share why we should unban him vs. why we shouldn't. Then when it's done we can go ahead and unban him.

Re: The Fundamental Problem with Permanent Bans
For the most part, we've taken the stance that Disciplinary Actions are between the user and Conquer Club. For our part, unless there is a public investigation going (a filled out Cheating & Abuse report), the matter is a private one. However, if the user would like to give their disciplinary ...

Re: An Operations Request [Feedback Desired]
I'm just saying that you can read their opinion(s) everywhere (repeatedly), you don't need to have them in a "focus group" to find out their opinion(s).
The "focus group" should be a group of people who's opinion you don't see everyday, combine the two and you may get some kind of feel for what ...

Re: Eliminate Freestyle Double Turns
In a multi-player causal fs esc games it's all about setting up to eliminate players that have enough cards so that you will be able to mid-cash once they have been taken down. With these settings, cards are king. Missing a card to take a double turn would be suicide. When playing these settings ...

Re: Killed personal hope for CC
People who are not on the mods bad list get away with things others don't. I don't know what gets someone on the bad list, perhaps talking bad about a mod or maybe just a name that reminds a mod of someone who picked on them in school. Either way if they are on the bad list then they get disciplined ...

Re: Killed personal hope for CC
Can everyone just SHUT UP and THINK ABOUT THIS? stahrgazer, I understand how you feel about the mods., but here's the problem. When DM was banned, a lot of people were vocal about it, maybe TOO vocal about it. This resulted in a lot of flaming, baiting, trolling, etc. all of which are bannable ...

Re: An Operations Request [Feedback Desired]
I think the number of moderators/admins (I've seen both nominated) should be limited to maybe 10% of the board members. I fear there's a risk they will tend to speak up in favour of things that could make their job easier but that would not benefit the community as a whole, and against things that ...

The admins don't usually work on the weekends, so you can't expect them to immediately ban someone on then for a post that breaks the guidelines. The mods couldn't give him the appropriate ban b/c they don't have access to 1 month bans.
Note to self : Do bad things only on the weekends.

Re: Booting rules violators hurts other players
When a player is booted for "rules violations" unceremoniously in the middle of games with other people, can we at least have that game negated? It made a differenct that got me killed in two three-player games recently. And that sucks.
For whatever reason someone who started a game, doesn't ...

Re: It's no wonder people are being banned...
It is a good step in the right direction, but I think it might be just a step, and by only one mod. It is good that you got an apology, but people like t-o-m get raped and then were left to cry alone in the shower. A lot needs to change around here I think. Right now mods are like people, having ...

Re: It's no wonder people are being banned...
Volunteering, for Conquer Club at least, is sometimes a difficult job---more often than we'd like it to be.
You have misguided thinking. Why is clapper considered a volunteer but owenshooter isn't?
This seems rather obvious to me...because clapper has responsibilities to the site and ...

Re: It's no wonder people are being banned...
For those who don't "get it"... that I received an apology from a moderator who admitted having played favs, does reflect evidence that somewhere on CC, mods might just play favs.
If mods admit they might play favs, then aren't people justified to complain about it when it occurs?

Re: It's no wonder people are being banned...
Did you report those threads? I ask simply because you're ASSUMING that a moderator ever saw the posts in question. If they haven't seen them, then how could they take action on them?
Now, if we know that they've seen them (i.e., they're involved in the threads), then that is certainly a ...
