Perhaps another option in game settings under colour codes for colorblindness which loads another css file for change the text colors to a color-blind friendly color.

Although they weren't good dice it was freakish. My assault with 6 6 6 was defeated by 6 6.

Re: Change the rules on bombardment?
What I'm trying to say is:
This forum serves a purpose, I agree, but there's a snowball's chance in hell that bombardment rules will be changed. I tried to make an example by saying you could make an argument that forting your troops to an ally could somehow be considered a "loophole", because ...

Re: Change the rules on bombardment?
I was speaking in generalities. I did not call out anyone specifically nor as a group. Again reading is fundamental.
Yes, the rules page, that was written about 100 maps ago, doesn't agree with this.
Of course, why didn't I think of that. Let's just change the rules to match the gameplay. It's ...

Re: Change the rules on bombardment?
1. As per the rules/instructions. Bombarding is not conquering which mean you don't get spoils. Broken/Incomplete game mechanic.
2. Fixing this will reward aggression and progression of the game state, allowing for more exciting and dynamic games.
3. Just because everyone does it, does not mean it's ...

Re: Change the rules on bombardment?
Show me where this is stated by anyone official. It is not "intended", it is your opinion.
Can't get more official then the instructions.
No spoils for bombardment as per previous post on instructions.
Logically speaking its, by far, more likely that the mistake is in the many lines of ...

Timminz wrote:I am not the person to give advice on this strategy, as I am not versed well enough in it. You'd be better off asking someone who excels at 6-way escalating matches on feudal.
Is there an example that you can use to explain it to me then? Or know someone I can talk to about it?

Re: Change the rules on bombardment?
Same difference. You're talking about 1's being too little a risk to be worth a card; they're too little in one game, but not another? And you want to change the whole gameplay system of the bombard, based on your obvious lack of knowledge of one map? And what about other maps. There's Waterloo ...

Re: Change the rules on bombardment?
If you don't "attack" and instead "bombard" from a safe distance then you SHOULD NOT get spoils. so either rename the "spoils" or change bombardment rules so you don't get a "spoil"
The term "spoils" is the result of a renaming -- it used to be "cards" until a copyright scare swept through ...

Re: Change the rules on bombardment?
So, if bombarding a neutral is a "unfair strategy", I believe that trading off 1's in an 8 way escalating is the same way. The 1 can't defend itself, and it's just going back and forth to build cards. I want a script to stop this too, it's unfair to those that don't know it.
Unfortunately those ...

Can you walk me thru what would happen on a game with 6 people doing the same build-up strategy on Feudal War?
Is the last person who decides to break out win? How many turns happen before that happens? 5? 10? 15?
Educate me on the pros and cons of this strategy.

Change the rules on bombardment?
Would it improve the game to change the rules on bombardment so that successfully bombarding a neutral territory does NOT qualify a player for spoils?
Bombarding Neutrals for spoils:
Strategic or Exploitive? Does it need to be modified?
