Re: Knights [21/01] Page 1 & 21
Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but did you realize you spelled "receive" incorrectly on the map?

Re: Atlantis v14!!! Update p12 [D]
Hey, thanks for letting me help. I suppose my feelings on the game system and the bridges should be clear enough by now. Here's what I think about the neutrals:
-ports and boats: 3 neutrals
-middle island docks: 2 neutrals
-other middle island terts: 1 neutral
-other Ys terts: 2 neutrals
-temple ...

Re: Atlantis v12.0! Update p11 [D]
I would probably say bombard not attack. What do you think?
Agreed. Bombardment makes more sense for this map.
I have to say I like what you've done with temples 2 & 4 (except that the icons are reversed in the legend). This is much more sensible than most of what I came up with.
The one problem ...

Re: Welcome to mars!
Sweet. I like what I see so far. Here are my suggestions:
-This map seems too small for an entire planet. World 2.1 seems like a good guideline for what a planet-sized map should look like. Mars is smaller than Earth, but not that much smaller.
-In order to improve the terraformed look, you ...

Re: Atlantis v12.0! Update p11 [D]
2. We will remove all bridges between continents so there is no connection between any of the outer islands (this is to force players to have to use the inner islands & boats to get between them.). Bridges that are inside(i.e Not connecting different continents ) will stay.

Re: [Advanced Draft] Atlantis v6.5 with XML!! (p.1,3-7)
Okay, here's me trying to be helpful.
The original concept for this map was for players to start on the outside and work their way toward the center, correct? And now you've been moving away from that concept, because there didn't seem to be enough of an incentive for people to get to the temple? I ...

Re: [Official] Centerscape REVAMP (Midgard) Large v7 / page 1,6
Enting Forest: "Dark Forest" (It can make up the Tolkien theme in territory names.) . . . I like the Dark forest as well. Especially since we already have Entmoot Ridge as a tert name.
I still like Dark Forest better than Enting Forest, but it's your call.

Re: [Official] Centerscape REVAMP (Midgard) Large v7 / page 1,6
As far as Heorot, why?
Just as a nod to Beowulf--no other reason. As the oldest surviving epic fantasy story in the English language and a primary influence on Tolkien, I think it deserves a small mention.
As I think about it, I can only think of two places where it would fit. Geolwe and Dern ...

Re: [Official] Centerscape REVAMP (Midgard) Large v7 / page 1,6
Thank you, RjBeals and WidowMakers, for giving us a map that's already better than the original Middle Earth map.
As far as _____ Shires is concerned, I still think Icy Tundra was the best name proposed so far; but if it must be a "shire" name, then I'd go with Crystal Shire. Of course, if you want ...

Re: Official: Centerscape Competition - Round 2!
I didn't vote at all in round 1, but in round 2 I voted for #4 based on the map-maker's stated intent to work on a theme. If there will not be a theme, then hopefully this will become clear before voting ends so I can change my vote to #1.
Also, I finally figured out what it is I don't like about ...

Re: Official: Centerscape Competition - VOTE
Hello, everyone. I've been thinking that a good title for the map might be Midgård or one of the many spelling variants thereof. (In Beowulf, it's middangeard.) For those who don't know, Midgård is an old Germanic term for the world of humans. The literal translation is "middle enclosure," but it's ...
