Re: Japan - 日本 (D, Gp, Gr, XML) Bring on Beta!

Any idea how long it'll be before its listed on the games list? I am excited to play it. But haven't been active enough on the forums to know what the delay time is for XML to Beat approved.

Re: River Rapids

Its hard balancing the idea so people don't cash before the first bottle neck, then again why would you pu them all on a bottleneck as everone else would work together to hit you. The goal is to move down the river faster than anyone else, how do you suggestion I encourage this? I like the idea that ...

River Rapids

My idea is to have a whitewater rafting sim like thing were you start in the boat of your colour (launching point) and can bombard any of the starting positions. The entire map has neutrals of 1 (except portages).
I want to have 4 obstacles where there is an alternative to portage around it on land ...

Re: The Conquer 500 - Gameplay Discussion (Lanes)

Not sure the last time you watched an F1 race - but the braking zone into corners is where (most of) the overtaking happens...

C.

So this is a F1 race now? I thought this was nascar or something? It is f1 style as it isn't simply an oval track

By that you mean it is open wheeled formula style ...

Re: The Conquer 500 - Gameplay Discussion (Lanes)

Yep thats true perhapse I was thinking that the finish line and track lap would give the big bonus so you could then attack the winner circle and gain that position to attack pits. I would like it to be as difficult if not moreso to get that bonus as it would be to get a full track lap.

Looking really good. I am excited to play it.

One more minor suggestion

Oita might be moved a little to the right. the font makes the O mimic the border and could be confusing for those with bad eyesight.

Can't wait to drop some numbers on this!

Also, what about an objective? Put a helicopter in the center of the map with 8 buildings as starting positions? Perhaps have a variety of escape routes, hold any to win? (Maybe a river with a boat, armored vehicle from a bank, helicopter... secret tunnel... teleportation pad (now I'm ...

Re: The Century Game [Update]

Oh and more 1 thing:

If you keep your design style, the strategy will be to stay in the starting point geting more troops, and then blow out, but then, the gameplay won´t be worthy with diferent straegies. So there are three options:

1. Keep your own map.( If you like, and the other players ...

The problem with these types of maps is that they are essentially builder maps with only a few strategic options- you essentially either try and scramble for more goodies from neutrals, or build up a monster stack and wait to pounce on someone trying the ...

BRAVO MarshalNey

That is a very comprehensive break down of what this map should play like. The only Thing I would add is that the starting points should be randomly alloted and should be within 3 of a building... kinda like you ran form your house and shit is getting mad round you and instead of ...

Re: The Century Game [Update]

I'd like to know what you think of my new draft

And the way the neutrals increment. I like the balanced one. As it forces 4 going one way and 4 the other. Now if you are in a quads game, it would mean the team could work together towards the end and pool there to hit, or other options..

Thanks in ...

Re: The Conquer 500 - Gameplay Discussion (Lanes)

Being an avid racing fan I might suggest that if you want to add extra lanes, don't do it throughout the track. I'd just add a second racing line to every other corner. This will conform more to the norm of racing, and lessen the burden on you a bit. I am not sure how you will code it so you'd only ...

The Century Game [1.0]

Okay here is a draft of an idea i had. It consists of 100 places, everyone has a lane they start out in.
Gaining a lane gets you a bonus of + TBD.
Outside the lane are bonuses of + 2 , they will be neutrals 2 forces strong
The ends connect to allow for attacking your opponents weak side.
Want to ...
