Re: 9-ball pool 1v1 tournament (Round 3)

Nate,

Tahoe and I have had our second straight game over 12 rounds. Given how long the last round went; can we use the modification recommended to count a ball for each game we play? At least that way, we will have made some progress.

Re: 9-ball pool 1v1 tournament Round 1

Nate,
Might I offer a freindly ammendment to our tournament rules. Might we consider that each game in a round, counts for a ball sunk, if neither player wins in the number of rounds required. That way, their is at least some modest progress, and an eventual end to each round. While I'm sure that ...

Re: 9-ball pool 1v1 tournament Round 1

We'll need new felt on the tables. These guys are wearing holes in it. Bartender, can I have one more. Maybe if I'm drunk, someone will take advantage and beat me in the next round.

Re: 9-ball pool 1v1 tournament Round 1

This really does feel like 9 ball, even down to the waiting for the slow play of a couple of amatuers to finish so that a table will open up. Bartender, I'd like to order Talisker neat.

Re: 9-ball pool 1v1 tournament Round 1

It took every last army in 10 rounds. 1 ball down and 8 to go.

Re: 9-ball pool 1v1 tournament Round 1

Nate,
Can you set acores and me up with the next game. We're about to go to round 11. The best we can do is sink one ball this round.

Re: 9-ball pool 1v1 tournament 26/32

Nate, I'm in. You seem to run good tournaments, and I don't turn down too many doodle challenges. I'm not sure i 100% follow the nineball. Have to finish the game in three rounds to sink the 9 ball?

count me in

Having played with Clapper, Timminz and a few others, I'm glad you've set this group. I recently lost my SFC due to crazy play by a couple of privates. I hate the feeling of having to watch the pending games so I can drop if some ? or chef jumps in. I'm currently sarge and would love to join the ...

Surrender

A surrender button would be good. I have had competitors abandon a game, making me wait their 3 turns before it is resolved. If a player intends to Surrender the game, they should have the option of taking an action and bowing out gracefully.
