has something changed?

BOB seems to no longer work on my games. I've got two going right now, one on the classic and one on Age of Merchants.

In both it's as if Greasemonkey was turned off. It's not. My other scripts work....

I've tried uninstallign and reinstalling the latest.

Works for all ...

I believe Lack has ruled on this, to say that contacting by PM was not forbidden. It's clear though that the exact implications of the ruling are subject to some interpretation.

My preference would be that all in-game communication take place in game chat. I've got absolutely no problem with ...

Flash, I'm not talking about a situation where one player has gotten stronger than the rest. Then of course it makes sense to cut him down. Ditto with keeping a weak player weak.

But in a situation where players are all more or less at the same strength, i don't see how it makes sense to waste ...

In the middle stages of escalating ,unless you are trying to take somebody else, big attacks are just gonna end in 2 people out of the picture.

flashleg,

You're absolutely right when it comes to 2-player games. My understanding is also that it's better to attack. But I'm going to have to ...

Does it pay to knock armies down?

In the middle rounds of an escalating game, where armies are dispersed, is there any reason to attack isolated stacks of armies?

Example 1. Player A has an army of 6 on China. The surrounding regions, except for Siam, held by Player B, are 1's and 2's. Player C attacks and captures China ...

Hi Ed.

This code is fantastic. Best thing since bob, even just for the floating action menu. I'm actually finding I rarely click now that I have the menu just right where I need it.

A quick suggestion. How about making the hot keys optional. Obviously you need a way to choose how many armies ...

Any thoughts to making the decay turn a single army neutral, rather than stopping the decay?...

not possible with the current xml
the decay will stop at 1 army.

That's too bad. I can't imagine it will make that much difference in game play as it is. People tend to leave those regions with just ...

One might notice that at the moment there are as many votes for change as there are for the the status quo, it's just that the former are spread across the three options.

Seems there's a sizable population that see this map as fun, but not as fun as it could be. Five armies for one territory is ...

I mean maps already released. The problem is not seeing how complex a map is, it's understanding how the complex maps work.

Some of them can't be understood without playing.

In Bamboo Jack, for instance, what exactly do you need to control to get a bonus for Rail section 4. Do you need ALL of ...

maps guides

how about foundry folk creating a place where the unenlightened can go to read about the special features, etc. of the maps.

Some maps, like Bamboo Jack or Pearl Harbor, are barely comprehensible. And so you spend a lot of your first game trying desperately to figure out what the designers meant ...
