Re: How do you like the new rankings?

I wish I could have abstained for this question..

The new rankings may objectively be better. However I still would have liked to gain the rank of Major on the battlefield, rather than as an overnight batch update on a server. It's just not the same feeling. :(

It now works for me.

I think it was not just clearing the cache that was needed, but also the download history?

IN any case it works now.. happy happy.. ;)

Is something going on currently? Most BOB function don't work at the moment, no stats, no map inspect, can't cash cards..

Had to disable the script.

(I did try clearing cache and re-installing; this didn't solve the problem)

Happens both on Windows as well as Linux.

I don't get any of this.

Is there stuff going on on this map that's different from regular CC Risk?

If I understand correctly, the game starts out with some neutral territories having 10 (TEN!) armies on them??

I never play this map and I never play 1 on 1.. The gain from a 1 on 1 game ...

So what, in that case the worst case is having played a couple games..

Also I'm an eternal optimist and believer in humankind.

The only thing I don't like is the 2 player format; I never play 2 player games. If it was a 6 player death-match in Escalating, and the winner gets premium then I'd ...

Anyone?

Is this forum dead or isn't this the place to look for private games among similarly ranked individuals? If so, where to go?

Please create a game I can join...

I'm Freemium so can't start any private games, and no Escalating games seem to be open currently.

So can someone create one or more of the following, in order of priority:

NO FOG!
Escalating
6 players (or possibly 7/8 if the map is a bit bigger)
Standard or Terminator
Any kind of ...

True; Because it's all called Western Europe in the existing map, that's why I said 'cutting up Western Europe'.

Of course the existing Europe map is really weird in the way territories are named. Like it calls all of Holland "Belgium", all of central Europe "Germany" and so on.

I'd say in ...

I don't like the name C.I.S.. CIS was a face-saving tool to have an amicable divorce between the former USSR republics. It has little meaning now, in fact a lot of the countries (Georgia) try their hardest to get as far away from it as possible.

(And besides, if you call it CIS then Ukraine ...

I have a comment on the HUD floating thingy.

Three times now I've clicked buttons that weren't the ones that I wanted to click. Sure I can put the warning on, but as I also have warnings on other actions, so you expect the warning to come up for example when auto attacking so you just click 'yes ...

EmperorOfDaNorth - I'm confused by your suggestion to get rid of all the small countries except Vatican City, as it seems contradictory.

Yes. It was a joke, because my avatar is inspired on the flag of the Vatican.

Indeed it's contradictory and indeed I'd prefer not to see any of the tiny ...

Team game questions: When does a team hold a continent?

Suppose I'm in a triples game: Does ONE specific team member need to hold an entire continent to be eligible for the continent bonus, or does a mix of players on the same team also count as holding that continent?

I understand I can deploy on my own territories as well as team mate's territories ...

How does this work?

Is it like team games of 2/3/4 players from each clan taking on a team of the other? Or are there other matches, and are they then one on one?

What maps, what cards format? Who decides this anyway?

Sorry but I'm new to this.

I agree with the original poster.

More people should be playing games open to anyone.

I've so far never joined private games other than those organized by friends for my specific group ...

I like the map!! As an *addition* obviously, not as a replacement of the current Europe map.

Further comments:

* I don't think the tiniest states are necessary, like Liechtenstein en Luxemburg, San Marino.. they're too tiny to even see on the map. And I don't even know what "Kgd." is ...
