There is something that just seems wrong about making new jersey the most valuable territory to hold in any map. especially one of NYC

this was my major stumbling block, considering that NJ is (for the most part) worhtless. all kididng aside, that part of NJ is considered part of the greater NY ...

New York City Map

Ok guys,
this is an extremely ROUGH DRAFT, which means the graphics are not really up to snuff yet. right now, i'm primarily concerned with how the map plays with its allotments of territories, certain border crossings, and bonus situation. please keep the graphics comments to a minimum as those ...

First off, thanks to everyone who gave constructive criticism to the map and helped me to make it better and better. I haven't gotten a very favorable response for this map, which is unfortunate, because I spent alot of time on it. The general consensus that this map looks too much like the Europe ...

Looks good...the only problems I have are that I can't tell which continent Crete is a part of-Africa or Balkans, and Genoa (I'm assuming that's what ur going for) in Italy is misspelled. Otherwise, love it, can't wait to play on it.

Crete is part of Greece, and I can make that easier to see ...

I'm originally from NY, so I was thinking about doing a NYC map. After I'm finished with the Roman Empire Map, I think I'll get on the NYC one.

The map looks great, but there are a few spelling mistakes that I noticed:

Runisia should be Tunisia
Ghan should be Ghana
Zaire really should be Democaratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo?)

Also, you should clear up the river situation in both Egypt and Nigeria because it is a little confusing ...

[Abandoned] - Roman Empire Map

Here is a (more) final version of the Roman Empire Map. Changed the values of most of the continents, while changing lots of connections across the Mediterranean Sea. Added Crete to the Balkans, subtracted Pontus from Anatolia. Textured the non-crossable areas as well as the oceans, and re-colored ...

so i wanted to point out that the bonus' are not really ideal for the map, and u need to shut off some borders so there isnt as big a range of attacking from everywhere

for all future suggestions: please read the WHOLE thread so you know what has been said and dealt with already. otherwise we ...

6 borders is too hard to hold. So is 4, with a 3 bonus. Neither in the Asia map nor the Classic are there continents with 6 borders.

Right, but if you take Armenia, suddenly there are only 3 borders...but yeah, i'm going to have to fix one or two countries in Anatolia since there is so much ...

Balkans has the same amount of borders as Anatolia but less than half the bonus?

um, actually, no. Balkans have 4 (of 6 total territories), Anatolia has 6 (of 8 total territories).

For example, as much as I like the Asia map that is on the site, it is incredibly easy to hold Oceania, Japan ...

the Balkans and Africa are the first two things that need changing. Africa has way too many boarded to defend for the amount of troop bonuses it gets. i also think that Balkans will be too hard to hold, if need be i suggest taking out some connections all over, i mean the map doesn't have to be ...

Roman Empire Map [Abandoned]

Hey All,
Here's a Roman Empire map I've been working on for about a week or so. It includes all of the empire plus tribute states and warring states from about 117 CE. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks to Rob (spiegelprime) and Andy (GrimlicMacDeath) for their advice and help. Of course I ...

Defensive roll

Hey all,
So I'm pretty new to the site, but I've found so far that the dice seem stacked towards the defense. Maybe I'm just having a bout of bad luck, but I've definitely lost some attacks that numerically should have been won (as in 13 on 3, 10 on 1, etc.). Just wondering if anyone else has these ...
