I'm not big on the random deployment of missed armies, and definitely not the "smart" deployment (because of programming complexity).

Something has to be done about strategic deadbeating, but I am leaning towards getting rid of the missed turn multiplier combined with a well-thought-out skip-turn ...

I love this idea, however I feel it can not be implemented untill another fix is made regarding the much loved freestyle rules.

The problem is in freestyle games. If player A ended the last turn, they cannot play again untill player B has started their turn. However if player B waits untill there ...

The color are fine either garish or lighter. The problem I have is that when you hover over say a green choice it turns teal. Can perhaps a dark green change to a light green when you hover? This may be something that you can't control.

i think random deployment wouldn't solve the problem very well. for instance most of the games i play that are no cards, the weak player ends up with only 1 or 2 territories! so having random territory dispersion of cards is useless in these cases. i am currently in a no card game where one player ...

brilliant solution - doesn't punish, but also doesn't reward. Has the added benefit of not punishing the partner of a deadbeat by depriving you of those three armies every turn.

Question though: if I hold Europe and miss a turn, then by the time I come back I've lost Europe, do I get armies for ...

If you had 14 territories when you missed your turn
Then the next day yuo only had 11 instead of getting 4 units then 3 you'ld only get 6 so therefore it is fair for those who complain.

I'm saying you would get 7 instead of just 6. 4 when your turn is missed and three when you come back. Plus ...

I totally agree with Laz but feel a random deployment of the armies would be too much of a disadvantage.

Would something like having to deploy the armies recieved for each turn in discrete locations work...ie if you miss a turn and get ur armies doubled you can place no more than half of them on ...
