as Reagan is one of the reasons this whole middle east thing has gotten out of hand

You think 9-11 was planned in the 8 months of Bush's pres.? ROFL!

The reason why he's scrapping the missile shield is to appease Russia at the expense of our Eastern European allies. It will also cut some much needed funds. I don't want to see the shield go, but Obama wants better relations with the rest of the world and this is one way he thinks he can improve the U.S.'s image.

actually I believe that space aliens corrupted a Terrorist cell that weren't smart enough to wear there tinfoil hats

as I might be A sarcastic ass I tend to Believe Facts more than Theories check it out who originally put weapons in the middles Easts hands and then you might see a real pattern

Instead of just calling people tea-baggers and dismissing their point with more of the mainstream media's canned responses, try to think about the issue at hand and respond to it.

The concern of jay and many other Americans (right-wing extremists, in your vocabulary) is that every day there is more mounting evidence that certain countries of the world are becoming bigger threats to our safety and sovereignty. North Korea is testing missiles. Iran has nuclear material. Both these countries hate us. Our Secretary of State is useless at diplomacy.

Iran could invade Israel at any time, our only real ally in the Middle East. If we don't move forward with the missile defense shield, they will be open targets, because we would not move in to defend them if Iran is capable of a nuclear strike against Europe. All of this to appease Vladimir Putin? You think Putin will help Israel or countries in the EU if Iran fulfills this threat?

Also, using the costs is a lame excuse. We have no problem burning through eleventy gazillion dollars for healthcare or cash for clunkers, but we object to a couple hundred million for a missile defense system that protects the way of life of our country and our allies?
