What have CC done to this map ??

It looks shit - graphics rubbish, no clarity and not a patch on the old map.

why change it ???

Considering it was being revamped for over a year...

Hardly a surprise if you go to many of the forums, and plenty of time to add your opinion.

I personally like the new one.

I like the fact that some corrections have been made e.g. Essex having a coastline (even though it is quite oddly attached Cambridgeshire, making an area much bigger than the two counties in reality). I still feel it should've been updated more though, with Dorset being moved East to where it actually is, and possibly Cumberland and Westmorland being merged into Cumbria, which is how it is now.

I do prefer the new look though

We do try to keep everyone happy, that's why we run all revamps through public voting and commenting.

The British Isles map revamp was announced back in July on the home page and has seen 6 months of comments since then.

We'd love to hear any constructive feedback on all maps current and in progress in the map foundry, but simply saying a map is shite isn't going to help anything

Check out the Map Foundry, there's maps coming out of there on a regular basis.
