Conquer Club

I don't know if this has been suggested before (had a quick search but couldn't find anything), but I'll do so anyway:

Do we have at least one representative of every country in the world as a member of conquerclub? If so, we could organise some sort of nationality based heats

ie: each country gets to vote a representative in, who then plays in heats of 4 or so "teams" (although they could be single player for countries with only one representative) - rather like the world cup for football. World 2.0 seems like the obvious map for these heats.

People would watch the games and support their country...

Yeah, its close to what I mean, except people play for the country they come from as opposed to picking a country.

I think it would be a great idea.

Sounds like my World Championship idea - I was going to make it Freestyle, but will probably run it as Terminator.

My idea was continent-based rather than country-based - mainy because it may be hard to find players from some countries and millions would want to join from others (e.g. USA/Canada/UK etc.).

Country-based heats could be involved with my WOrld Championship idea for the more popular countries? Might be a bit unfair thoughas players from those countries would have more games to get through to be able to win, it would favour those from under-represented countries.

Would be great if you could help with my tournament as I need someone to run the qualifying stages for the 'Rest of the World' (i.e. non Europe/N America).

Was originally going to have S America, Asia Africa and Oceania groups but I'm not sure if there are enough interested players out there?

Maybe running a pilot tournament for the rest of the world might be an idea?
