Is it wrong?

I'm sitting in a dorm room (not mine), with a few (about 5) great friends (including some girls, including one I have a crush on), who I just met three weeks ago at most, a week ago at least. I'm drunk. And I suddenly get the urge to grab my friends laptop (a macbook), and check the forums here. Discuss?

Some are more, shall we say, sad?, yes sad, then others though.

Oh, my problems go further than that... Whenever I get drunk, I see clearly how hopeless some aspects of my life appear to be. I've had what should be a great night... I'd discuss it more now, but the way I would describe it would involve a lot of metaphor, and I don't want to be called mentally unstable again by certain individuals.

If "Ms.Crush" is not logged on it's a big mistake.

Well, I only logged in to write that one post, while everyone in the room was briefly discussing a movie I dislike... so it's not like I sacrificed a night of fun for the internet. I then proceeded to rejoin the conversation, then leave and go to the party, and generally experience everything I would have if I hadn't logged in. The only thing I find weird is that I felt like logging in at all. Why should I, during a transitory moment of boredom in the midst of a sea of awesomeness, turn to the internet?
My other problems are something completely separate, and now that I'm sober I feel absolutely no need to discuss on this forum.

I think we're an island of awesomeness in a sea of internet.
And mtg, that post of yours should have read: "Some are more, shall we say, sad?, yes sad, than others, though." (corrections in bold)
I'll let "more sad" slide because in this case it is stylistically better than using the grammatically correct form "sadder".

Because, like myself, you've begun to associate logging on to CC with moments of boredom. I got into this place during revision-time and used to log on when I felt myself bored and my concentration levels flagging. Now it's just what I instinctively do when I find myself unengaged with things around you. The fact that your boredom occured during a sociable moment is odd, but your compulsive reaching for the usual crutch is entierly understandable.
That said, it's unfortunate that all of us chose this particular crutch. If we'd chosen 'press-ups' as our way to stave off dull moments, then our lives would probably be far more fulfilled and pectorally saturated.

It's pretty wrong, I don't think about CC when I am with other people unless its an over night job... When I am on my own, I am always around but when with other people it is rare,

Yeah, when I'm with others I don't think of cc. Unless they're really boring.

Most people are satisfied with the mundane, and most are easily amused. The fact that you experience a feeling of frustration with such things shows that you are abnormal - thank God for that, but understand that you can easily grow tired of being the odd man out and slip into a blissfully ignorant, coweyed state of normalcy - most do.
A lot of us come here to engage our abnormality, and ignore the crap for a while. Here we can discuss whateverthefuck we want, rage against the machine (and lever pushers like twill), and generally be socially unacceptable, politically incorrect, and downright rude, without any immediate consequences (save being band). Before the internet, all we had were the bathroom walls.
Still suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune.

Alcohol is a depressant, and so are you, but I like your location. I've seen them perform that song live 3 times this summer

Don't worry. You'll get over it eventually by the sheer power of your mind.
By that I mean that your mind will just ignore shit like that.

Sip the booze, let its taste roll over your taste buds, mellow out make friends with the said girl, fall in love with each other slowly, have a long happy life together. Look at the stupid computer some other time.
