I Would Take a Bullet for Barack Obama

There has not been a candidate for President in my lifetime I would ever say or think that about, until Mr. Obama.

We need his leadership. We need his judgment. We need his administration.

Well regardless of whether or not I would take a bullet for him. My question is, would he take a bullet for me?

We'll see if your still saying that after the first year of his administration. He's a master orator, and an impressive showman. Weak minds are apt to be overcome by such trickery. Foolish jedi, your power will not work on ME!

Lest you think I'm all for McCain, see my post in the "McCain VP" thread first.

Read a book once in awhile. Study some history, some philosophy, and perhaps grasp what is necessary vs. sufficient for a great leader.

Failing that go take a long walk off a short pier.

So I take it since 'dubbya has many of those same characteristics, as well as Hitler, Mussolini, and Pol Pot, you do no believe that their rise to power reflected a failure of civil society to correctly discern their worth as leaders? Don't insult me just because you are an O'bamma-wanna... for most of human history our "leaders" were determined by their ability to kick somebody's ass. That doesn't mean that's how it should work.

Abraham Lincoln, a great leader not entirely devoid of pragmatic ambition as "some history" might suggest, as been attributed with saying "You may fool all the people some of the time, you can even fool some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all the time." My raging against the over-abundance of the former in modern primaries/elections is obviously lost one of whom the latter refers to. :-k #-o

Obama, McCain and Biden can eat the bullet AFAIC, but this Sarah Palin woman? She's another story.

MILF (VPILF) all the way. Finally, an attractive woman in presidential politics.

You don't even make any sense... Maybe you did take that long walk already, cause you're way off topic with this post.

As said earlier, your opinions are invalid, writing "O'Bama" as you do.

I know it's tough for you, but read it again real SLOW and maybe it will make sense. Clearly you are an O-Bamma-Wanna all the way (like that spelling better 8-[ ) Or is it just that liberal fascists like you get a hard on telling the rest of us how "invalid" views contrary to their own are... :-({|=

No actually, it doesn't make sense. You have no concept of reason, do you? You go comparing apples to oranges, making a classic error in logic. To compare someone vying for the office of the President of the USA (an ELECTED position) to that of dictators is, um, way off.

Secondly, to suggest that dubya shares characteristics that I never even listed... well, it tells me an awful lot about your level of intelligence. And hey, don't worry, I won't be responding to you any more. So go to town, just try not to dribble on the keyboard any of the drool that forms at the sides of your mouth when you're busy blowing spit bubbles, trying desperately to form words.

Finally, you ought to realize that your opinions are not valid in any way, since you provide no alternatives. You can insulate yourself off, cause "you don't like any of them there candidates, wuh huh". That in itself establishes that you have nothing valid to contribute, are simply trolling, and probably spend the majority of your days being angry about SOMETHING.

Get over it. Your rage can't hide your stupidity from anyone except the also stupid. So go call in to Limbaugh or Hannity, I'm sure they'd love it if you shared your views with them.

Necessary to lead: able to get people to follow.

Sufficient to lead: ability to keep people following you.

Undefined quantity: characteristics of the underlying population / social traits and values that create a propensity to follow (including, historically - and to some extent today - ability to kick ass of anyone who threatens to hurt your followers).

Both Hitler and Mussolini were initially elected by "democracies". Both were eloquent with their words. You may not know it Mr. History book, but Mussolini started out as a socialist reformer in a padrone society consumed by major social and economic breakdowns resulting from long-term income inequality and lack of opportunity for the masses. That enabled Mussolini to get the people behind him. I shouldn't need to tell you how he was able to keep that power. See above quote by Mr. Lincoln, and go read a book yourself you "oh-bamma-wanna" fascist. Your boy will probably win. But don't fool yourself. The man would tell you he is going to solve the deficit by shitting gold bricks if you would believe it.

Out of curiosity, what is it about Obamas economic policy you take issue with. You have used a fair amount of rhetoric, with the frequent use of redistributionist, which is more of an ideological than practical term, nearly all social systems distribute wealth and all of them but the freeiest of market systems redistribute. So if youd explain what you dont like specifically instead of using a term that is rather blanket statement oriented in nature id be interested in the specifics.

Obama has been far more transparent about the economic plan than Mccain. Mccain wishes to extend a tax cut that would make paying the deficit far more difficult to pay off, than the expenditures from Obama. The way he plans on paying for this is something of a red herring, as pork-barrel spending (while in need of reform) is certainly not enough to pay that off.

For the average person, your wallet should be voting for Obama (especially if you believe the gov shouldnt be taking all of your money away from you).
