Alternate Realities: Conquer Rome
Anyone with two slots available at all times can sign up!
Ever lost a game, just because of a dice roll?
Or perhaps, because you faced a tough opponent too early into the draw?
What if there were an alternate reality, where those twists of fate...
didn't happen?
Well, now's the time for you to find out!
Gameplay
- The tournament is basically two randomised 16-player 1v1 brackets, with the winners of each bracket facing off for the final victory.
- To be clear - all players will be placed in the 2 separate 1v1 brackets ("alternate realities"), and both brackets will have different randomisations (using random.org).
- If the same player manages to win both brackets, the final game is not necessary, and the player automatically wins the tournament.
The game settings for all games will be as follows:
- Map: Conquer Rome
- Type: Standard
- Troops: Automatic
- Order: Sequential
- Spoils: Escalating
- Fortifications: Chained
- FoW: Sunny
- Trench: No
- Round Limit: 20 Rounds
'Alternate Realities' Series
1. I reserve the right to change aspects of the game if anything needs changing, to ensure fairness to all players or for the benefit of the tournament.
2. If you wish to withdraw from the tournament at any time, please inform me via personal message or post on this thread.
3. If you do not join the game within 48 hours, you will be replaced.
4. If you are know you are not going to be around for a duration of time, please inform me. If the period of time is short enough, I will delay all of your games.
5. Reserves will only be used for Round 1. In Rounds 2 onwards, the player that was defeated by the player who dropped out will be used as the replacement.
6. For any questions, problems etc. you may voice it out in this thread or you can PM me.

It seems like hopalong definitely got what he was asking for in the previous post, as he's now the first player to book a berth in the finals!
Meanwhile, we await the results of a matchup in Round 3 between Tin Trumpet and Bentelbow; and theflycassanova waits in Round 4 of Reality B for another shot to make it to the finals, having lost the Round 4 matchup against hopalong in Reality A.

Wow 1 month away! I think that should be alright, hopefully your opponent is agreeable too; I'm sure you'd prefer to be the one taking the turns instead of a sitter. Thanks for the heads up!

my last sitter missed 2 turns ... in a row ...
fortunately, i had built up enough of a lead to stay ahead until i got back.
