Alternate Realities: British Isles
Anyone with two slots available at all times can sign up!
Ever lost a game, just because of a dice roll?
Or perhaps, because you faced a tough opponent too early into the draw?
What if there were an alternate reality, where those twists of fate...
didn't happen?
Well, now's the time for you to find out!
Gameplay
- The tournament is basically two randomised 16-player brackets, with the winners of each bracket facing off for the final victory.
- To be clear - all players will be placed in the 2 separate brackets ("alternate realities"), and both brackets will have different randomisations (using random.org).
- If the same player manages to win both brackets, the final game is not necessary, and the player automatically wins the tournament.
The game settings for all games will be as follows:
- Map: British Isles
- Type: Standard
- Troops: Automatic
- Order: Sequential
- Spoils: Escalating
- Fortifications: Chained
- FoW: Sunny
- Trench: No
- Round Limit: 20 Rounds
Notes
1. I reserve the right to change aspects of the game if anything needs changing, to ensure fairness to all players or for the benefit of the tournament.
2. If you wish to withdraw from the tournament at any time, please inform me via personal message or post on this thread.
3. If you do not join the game within 48 hours, you will be replaced.
4. If you are know you are not going to be around for a duration of time, please inform me. If the period of time is short enough, I will delay all of your games.
5. Reserves will only be used for Round 1. In Rounds 2 onwards, the player that was defeated by the player who dropped out will be used as the replacement.
6. For any questions, problems etc. you may voice it out in this thread or you can PM me.

We've moved on to the last two matchups of Round 3, with one each in each Reality remaining. general cod and jricart both await their opponents in their respective reality finals, while jricart potentially still has the chance to secure the win in both realities.

Update
In a dominant performance with 8 consecutive victories over 7 different opponents,
jricart has emerged victorious in both realities, negating the need for a finals.
This is also
jricart's 3rd win in the
Alternate Realities series (which makes half of the completed instalments to date), and 2nd without needing a finals. Truly a stellar record thus far!
