This is not on the Madness Map
1 slot is required so all players are welcome.
No point, or games played restrictions.
All players will be invited to their games, and have 48 hours to join before automatically losing.
Before we get into tourny specifics, some March Madness dates are below:
[spoiler=March Madness dates]Selection Sunday this year is March 17th.
The first games are on March 19th.
The championship game is April 8th.[/spoiler]
[spoiler=Tourny Timeline]I expect nearly a full month to get all 68 to sign up, so therefore, signups will be done near the end of February.
Hopefully, I will have privileges before March starts, and on March 1st the play in games will be made.
By Selection Sunday, our first round should be ending.
Our second round will hopefully start by March 19th.
Afterwards, we will be done to 16 teams, and we can move alot faster.[/spoiler]
This will be a 68 team tournament exactly modeled after the bracket. Half the fun of March Madness, is that anyone can win. Given this, tournament will also be 1v1 single elimination.
[spoiler=Tourny Setup]Like the actual bracket, there will be an extra 2 11 seeds, and 16 seeds for the play in game. Seeding will be based on CC score (any ties will be broken by random.org). However, seeding will not be based on the score when you sign up. It will be based on the score when I check everyone at the same time. (This will happen when the 68th player signs up.) This means that even if you sign up with a lower score, you can go on a on month diet, and avoid playing too many Speed Assassin Games on Doodle Earth to get your score up.
The single game will be played on the higher seeds home map.[/spoiler]
Each player will pick their map and settings of their choosing.
[spoiler=settings]If you are a fast-pased offense, you can pick freestyle.
If you prefer a half-court offense, you can choose sequential.
If you like to pound it down low, you may want to choose trench.
If your a high flying offense you may want to choose escalating.
If you like to move the ball, you may choose unlimited forts.
If you hang your hat on defense, maybe you'd like to choose nuclear.
