"Die" is singular. "Dice" is plural. Is that common knowledge? It doesn't seem like that to me, but then people don't talk about a single "die" that often.

I mean, under what circumstances would you hear someone complaining about how one die is not living up to the standard of their other TWO dice

It is much more likely to hear someone saying something like "you got some lucky dices, uh blue?" or "Grrr.. the dices are killing me this round."

Are we really this desperate for new threads?

lol i find this post funny because u obviously have poor mastery of the english language.....u dont make a comment such as "the dices are killing me" because it is incorrect. A correct coment would actually be something like "these damn die". I may be wrong but im guessing english isnt ur first language?


...And on a side note i could go into why the two above comments are correct/incorrect but as a student i'd rather kill myself then put the lessons of my english teacher to practical use

Actually... it should be "these damn dice," or "this damn die."

i think he was saying that people are unlikely to say things properly and gave examples of wat people say. the 2 sentences were incorrect deliberately hence the highlighting in red and the highlighting in green is correct

"dice" can be singular, too, like "sheep".
