Go Cougs! (They probably won't make it)
Go Gonzaga! (They should make it)
Who are you rooting for?
Anybody want to join a fantasy league once the 65 teams come out?

BYU. Fredette is a hometown hero. I even played basketball against him a few times at the local YMCA while he was still in High School.

Sick and tired of hearing about BYU and Freddette, especially on games that don't even have BYU in them. But, BYU may make the 2nd round, then bow out (a lot of BYU fans are bitching and moaning that other teams in the MWC are finally allowed to be as physical as they would be in the NCAA tourney, not to mention Freddette is as well). Just glad that I (well, pretty much all of the other MWC fans would say the same) won't have to put up with BYnerU after this year. Some of them make SEC fans look humble.
Go Aztecs! Try and win the MWC tourney! Go Cowboys! Get a good HC for next year!

I like seeing up sets, so most often I like to root for the underdogs or the small schools, or the schools they don't have a lot of Tournament history.

I'm looking forward to it and pull for most of the Cinderellas in the tourney,
Butler was great vs Duke in the Championship last year.
An underdog... not so much the typical Cinderella.
The Big East might have an unprecedented 11 teams in the field this year.

So it's getting closer and closer. I just got an email that we can start creating teams for March Madness. Anybody want to create one? For free...I'm not gambling on this anymore.

Here is pretty much how I've filled out my bracket every year:
Choose 2 or 3 favorite teams (BYU, St. John's, maybe someone else) and then pick the highest seed to win (like, in the first round, all 16 seeds win assuming they're not going against BYU, St. John's) all the way to the championship. God knows I never win =(

I go the opposite direction. I flip a coin for every single game. I also never win.

The Conference Tourneys have been a sweet primer to THE BIG DANCE.
Bring on the MARCH MADNESS!

I'd like to comment on the St. John's-Rutgers game a couple of days ago in which everyone has come to a consensus that Rutgers was robbed of a chance to win. I attended the game and was in the Johnnies' student section, but don't let this potential for bias ruin my rant, because I'm looking at this through as neutral a perspective as possible.
They simply shouldn't have had one in the first place.
All game the officials were out of position to make calls. These officials could not keep up with the pace of the game due to age. They have the experience yes, but the Big East game is too fast for them. There was no official within 15 feet of a missed goaltending call which would award St. John's another 2 points. On top of that, they missed 2 charging calls which our center, Evans, took while Rutgers tried to run out. Because Rutgers was in the bonus for one and double bonus for the other, that's 4 points they shouldn't have had. There's 5 points right there (the back end of the 1-and-1 was missed), and that is just the first half.
So had the officials started officiating in the first place, instead of the absurd media assertion that they had stopped in the end, we'd have a totally different and more expected ending.
Now on to the slightly more biased part.
Because the NCAA Selection Committee will not consider that we were the better team with the exception of the last 30 seconds of the game and were being held back by these refs, they'll be more apt to look to our losses to Fordham and St. Bonaventure instead of our wins against Georgetown, Norte Dame, Duke, UConn, Pitt and Villanova and not give us the #4 seed we truly deserve.

Waaaa Waaa Waa! Be happy you're going to the big dance.
How do you explain U.Conn winning the Big East Tourney?
was that a Ref thing too?

That was them being a good team?
Be happy? Clearly you don't know the nature of fans from any team in New York.

If Irving plays well and for about 15-20 minutes a game, Duke has to be considered a favorite to repeat. If not, I have OhSt winning it.

Well, crapshoot isn't really the word for it, but there certainly is greater parity this year than usual.

My entire office went to lunch at 1:30 and has not come back, except me. Now, granted, all I'm doing is running around conquer club, but it still sucks.

Two number 13 seeds almost advanced and for a little bit, UNC Asheville was pretty much tied with Pitt in the 2nd half. I feel like anyone in the field can win.

I've got Ohio State, Kansas, Duke and UCLA in my final four. OSU winning it against Kansas in the finals, mostly because I'm a big Ohio State fan, but I think OSU's going to choke.

The BIG EAST has gone down in flames... 'cept for UConn.
Marquette was leading UNC 10-8 tonight but it's Tarheels up 40-15 at the break,
while Kansas is whupping up on Richmond in San Antonio.
Arizona, Florida, UNC and UConn are all finishing the season strong...
while VCU, Butler and Ohio State are also playing really well.
Kentucky meets OSU in the second game tonight and curious enough
the Buckeyes are 5-0 against the Wildcats in NCAA Tourney games.
tomorrow night
Arizona v U.Conn and Butler v Florida

The elite 8 has been determined.
VCU just won in overtime....
Ohio St lost....
Been a crazy couple games tonight.
On the womens side....Courtney Vandersloot set a record no other man or woman has ever set before.
Gonzaga's Courtney Vandersloot has become the first player in Division I history — men or women — with at least 2,000 points and 1,000 assists in her career.
Some would argue she's the best guard in NCAA history. She's got the stats to prove it. Either way, Gonzaga women play Saturday at 6:00pm PST on ESPN.
