Vietnamese/Republican Conspiracy exposed by Loretta Sanchez

Damn it! This is just a crying shame. After years of catering to the Vietnamese population in her district in order to win re-election, the Republicans have partnered with the Vietnamese to take away another House seat from the Democrats! The racist Republican Party is specifically running a Vietnamese candidate against her in an effort to win a California seat. We're grateful to Loretta Sanchez for having the balls (yes, she has them) to expose this conspiracy.

Here are the culprits:

Van Tran - Vietnamese immigrant

The country of Vietnam - where Van Tran & Vietnamese people who hate hispanics come from

Republican Party - archenemy of utopian socialists fighting to defend masturbation

All you do with these stupid threads is prove what a moron you are bradley. She probably shouldn't have said it like that because it makes her look like a racist, but I hardly think that she's anti-Vietnam or whatever you're trying to imply. The fact that there's a contested seat for Congress between a hispanic woman and a Vietnamese immigrant is a good thing because it shows our diversity.

I have never had the joy of visiting Vietnam but have long wanted to do so. There is no reconciling the vitriol of Sanchez words. This is a woman motivated by a desire to seek and maintain power for the sake of power.

Of course, it's Loretta Sanchez that fellow Democrat Party member Joe Baca said was a 'whore.'* So the question is: does Congresslady Sanchez have sex for money or are senior Democrat Party members chauvinist pigs?

Actually, next to saxiton's threads I enjoy these. It exposes people like you who only see racism as a one way street that benefits Democrats. It's just impossible that a liberal would say such a thing about another minority group. Racial tolerance needs to work both ways and both sides should be called out on it when people like Sanchez do it.

It's not that "both sides that should be called out on it," but it should be more about calling out an individual on it. As soon as you use such blanketing terms as "liberal" when talking about these situations, you begin to mistake an individual's views for an entire group's.

Now you yourself may not think so, but you're certainly negatively contributing to other people's preconceptions.[/lecture]

You're really going to try and play the context card on this one? If a white Republican said something like 'the Mexicans and Democrats are trying to take our seat' then you would be all over them. Sorry dude but you've entered a double standard free zone.

Sanchez is one brave woman to call out the Vietnamese on this one. She's being targeted simply for being different than them. Sanchez doesn't look like the Vietnamese. She's "different" than them, and for that they target her. I'm glad that she is standing up to the xenophobia that is rampant in California.

Not that anybody cares, but she deserves the loss of a seat she's going to get in a few months. Blaming the Vietnamese is pretty friggin nuts.

How bout hypocrisy in general--right or left? Hopefully, you've seen both, or you've got more to learn.

How does she deserve to lose that seat? It belongs to her, hispanics, and Univision. So just because she doesn't look Vietnamese she's going to be castigated!

Hispanics are willing to represent congressional districts that average Vietnamese immigrants aren't.

Neither major party can lay claim to ownership of hypocrisy. It seems to be a human trait shared by all. Politicians simply shift positions at will to impress voters and sometimes lose track of what they "promised" in the past.

The concept of a Vietnamese immigrant running for office to represent a district composed of a large number of Vietnamese is just shocking. The Dems can only kick themselves for not thinking of it first. Oh wait! This shit has been going on for years... can't Sanchez find a Hispanic district to dominate?

I'm hoping we can find a white district to run some white people in, too.
