West of the Mississippi River that is.

West side haters!

It's due to the massive infiltration of Canadians and Americans of Canadian heritage in the eastern US.

I don't think they do, only parts of the west.

Arizonia is still loved by many in the east (although the recent issue about immigration has strained relations it was still a primary vacation spot) as is Nevada and to some extent Seattle.

Arizona is attractive to white supremacists because as a border state it is a place where hate messages can be masked as anti-immigration rhetoric And that's a quote from white supremacist literature.



(I love the west coast. Aside from Chicago, I haven't spent much time in the middle of the country. Looks beautiful though)

I heard the East has always been jealous that the West gets a sunset. But I heard recent rumblings about the West irked by the East's sunrise.

Go figure.

I have always lived in the middle of the country. From Indiana to Colorado, and many states in between. Hence, I mock both coasts. There's something that the ocean does to people that makes them unpleasant.

There's something about christians judging others that makes them unpleasant.

We don't hate the western U.S., the western U.S. hates us. Because of us, all television shows and sporting events start at inconvenient times for those on the west coast. To be fair, west coasters don't care much for their sports, what with LA Dodger fans leaving games in the 7th inning.

We don't hate the west we just hate a small portion of california to the extent that the hate has spread to everywhere west of the Rockies and some states farther east.

Are we including American Samoa with the rest of the west, or are they so far to the west that they're part of the east?

that made me laugh. The people from the coasts call the area in the middle the "flyovers" cause they aren't good for anything but flying over on the way to the other coast. I'm taken to calling the states on the coasts the "falloffs" cause they could fall off into the ocean and the US would just be a better place. Either way I'm sure it's like republicans vs democrats and Scientologists vs the world etc...

I lived in "Key West" (technically on the East coast) for eight years. We always had a sunset. We would gather, the man with the cats would put them through their paces, the southern-most Scotsman would be rude and play his bagpipe, and we all watched the sun hit the water without any explosions. Then we would do a bar crawl and get even more drunk. In the distance sailing ships would fire mock canons at each other and return after the sun had competely set.

This has changed.

Now World Series Games start after 9pm EST and go till past midnight. Tough to handle when you have to wake up at 5-6am for work.

The schedules used to be more accomodating.

It should start earlier anyway, seeing as the majority of the WS teams are from the east coast...
