live on long island go to school in Binghamton

I work downtown and live just across the river in Jersey.

I'm from Long Island, and I mean the real part of Long Island; not that "city" part of Long Island that thinks it is the official Long Island; I'm talking about right before the island breaks up into the North and South Fork; right next to WINE COUNTRY; farm vineyards and even our famous vodka distillery! That part of Long Island; the best part!

I'm from across the river on the Jersey side. I held a NY address long enough to help elect Hillary to the Senate and then I snuck away before I had to serve jury duty.

Theres only 1 state I hate more than New York and thats Michigan.

New york is both a city and a state in the US. This thread is talking about people from the state of New York. Also New York is one of the more populated and larger states in the US.

New York City has over 9 million, the area surrounding it is about 9 million, and the rest of New York is about 1 million (I think, rough estimates).
