For all those babies daddies who get yelled at by babies momma for playing CC give me an amen!
And when your wife sees the CC star icon at the top of your internet browser as shes walking by, what do you guys say to her that cools off her hate for CC?

Looking forward to posts!

My wife hates CC. Hates it.
Wants to know when I became a dork that played online games and wants to know why I spend so much time here.
So, there's your amen.

lol angola...
My wife hates CC too. So i can relate... im gonna change this thread so we can get amens from all the husbands whos wifes are CC haters and also excuses us men say to our wives that help us keep playing CC!
Mines not really an excuse, but i live in Tland and i actually started playing CC because it helped me keep in contact with my bro who is also on CC and we play together on here everyday and it helps us stay in contact. So thats my excuse... what about you guys?

Mine has always been relatively calm about my CC addiction, apart from when I am hoofing her off the computer at 10 am because I have a turn in 45 minutes and I just can't wait. I can't!
Of course, I don't play 80 games at a time...which probably helps keep the wife calm.
Yet my wife does (quite cruelly I think) sometimes ask "Are you writing more pointless rubbish on CC again?" which while critically accurate, does smart a touch.
I have tried to get her into into CC a bit...but failed completely. To her it is just a bunch of numbers on a map. My father is the same way, yet my mother is a complete CC-freak...absolutely loves the game. So on holidays in France you have the interesting spectacle of the mother and I chatting CC over some good wine, while the wife and father wander off "and leave the crazy people to their silly game."

Ive seen you type in here, and you type a lot. I bet she loves that you spend all those words on CC and not her...
BTW, on a completely different note. I just closed a real estate transaction.
I bought a new house.

Ha! But I think wives prefer typing to playing. It suggests you are up to something not quite as ridiculous as throwing animated dice at little coloured numbers.
Order of online hate (wives addition)
1. (most hated) Online tube porn sites: "We'll get a virus!!" She screams. "No, it'll be the whores that give
us the virus!" I reply in my usual witty fashion.
Smack.2. Radio 4: Sometimes she actually has the temerity to hoof me off of the old comp. and I like to counter by letting her have the thing but sticking Radio 4 on as a punishment. Drives her wonderfully nuts.
3. CC Speed Games: I'm entirely uncommunicative, I smoke like a fucking chimney, I occasionally shout out in rage or joy..I'm pretty much banned from playing these when she is in the city.
4. CC General Surfing: Now this is pretty much ok. I can be talked to if required (a rare event but there you go), and as Fitz quite cruelly pointed out above, I am in general spewing forth my inane crap on you chaps rather than her, so CC becomes an all-round positive experience in her eyes.
Do you see where you are all going wrong now? Cut the games down, increase the forum posting and you're set.

I've been on this site 3 years now and for 3 years my husband has hated CC. He made an account once to PM me while out of town and has never played a game. I'll tell him about the latest gossip but he doesn't really get it. He used to play the board game with me but now won't even do that. Oh well. He has recently found his own addiction, Words with Friends on his iPhone. He called me up one day and said he found his own "cc".

My wife's geek enough to not mind my time spent on CC...she's playing D&DOnline or some crap I'm not interested in at the same time. It works well for us.

My wife does that Farmville crap too. That's something I definitely do NOT get.

Used to be a smoldering issue, so I got Janey an account set up and we played some doubles games for a while. Then she just lost interest. Now she does not really seem to care, but I play more so when she's not around or when I'm at the plant.
Cuz I don' wan no bizsnatch nagging my ball sack when I'm pwning speed doodle.
( Now watch: she'll log in, read this and I'll be surfing YouPorn for a month....)

My wife is the opposite. She doesn't like the playing (but with her blog surfing, parenting forum, and playing lots of Bejeweled Blitz, she can understand). It's the "social" aspect (mostly clan-related, I'm no prolific poster) that bugs her. That and the fact that I have a few clanmates as Facebook friends (again, even though she has some posters from an online forum that she's never met IRL as Facebook friends).

The memory of Benjikat's Widow is enough to make us realise the potential for disaster that CC can have on our marriages...
My wife disparagingly refers to this place as "Conquer Crap"

They're called double standards Jake. They seem to go hand in hand with people that carry the xx chromosome.
