Thanks for the concern hippo, but I'm starting my internship for the summer on monday. Can't take too much time off.

@ Saf - oh well, a change is as good as a rest!! Have some day/night medication on standby, susceptability to weird bugs is another feature of FAIDS (finals anti-body immune deficiency syndrome). But try doing different things as much as you can. And have fun in the internship! My only advice for interns is to laugh at old people's jokes and listen to what they say, write down things you don't understand in your diary and get someone to explain them and don't drink too much at the shindigs (or talk to mouch or touch the other interns) ... lol!

Scene

A man in a dark suit walked through a crowded marketplace. He spotted his target and gave pursuit. However, his target managed to escape through the crowd, and left the attacker frustrated again.

Another man in a dark suit walked up to a scarred man. "You are not meant to be here" he said.

"Well, what can I say, every man, woman and child must be ready to protect Zion" replied to scarred man.

"It is inevitable" the suited man said as he pulled out a pistol and fired it.

cowboyz, Captain Mifune, Town Vigilante, has been killed!

It is now Day 3! With 20 alive, it takes 11 to lynch.

OK, this is my interpetation.

Attacker 1 (town vig). Tries to kill target who runs way (potential hider).
Attacker 2 (Mafia) comes along and finish him off.
The vig doesn't notice he's going to get killed. I'm prepared to go out on a limb and say this a mafia member who will appear innocent under investigation (possibly GF)
No idea what to make of italics.

So, one kill last night, and vig got away, it seems the vig targeted the same person as the mafia did yesterday? If so the vig would know a lot more than we do.

Hmm, I'm really at a stooped as to where we should go today. Gonna re-read a bit and post up from D2.

Then again on another read of scene it may be that Attacker 1 tries to kill Random Guy 1. And then Attacker 2 kills our town vig who is not attacker one.

Guys I am read up just about. I have never seen the matrix though so I do have one question. Are the twins both good, both bad, or does one go against the other? I am just getting some background info.

This is how I read it. Attacker 1 failed to kill random guy (doesn't look like a doc save though). Attacker 2 (agent smith based on the inevitable line) targeted cowboyz and was successful in killing him.

The italics I think is taken from mifune's last words when he was killed in the 3rd? movie.

I agree. This seems to be the best translation. I also think it's interesting that someone from Zion shows up as non-VT, especially after Locke came up VT. I would have thought that everyone from Zion would then be VT. Makes me think it's possible that there are other characters not from Zion that could be VT. Other than that I'm not sure where to start today. I'll have to take a closer look when I have more time.

I don't think Mifune was natural born Zion. The matrix wiki page lists mifune as his hacker name which means he can get into the matrix. Tank and zee don't have hacker names so natural born Zion can still equal VT.

I agree with this. It does create an interesting point though and that is if there are non-Zion VTs then Mafia no longer have the protection of fake-claim based on Zion. That's worth keeping in mind. Equally perplexing though is if we suddenly get a spate of non-Zion VT claims. If we do then they would be suspicious IMHO.

I read it as two different scenarios. No scarred man first kill attempt.

Okay, two nights, and we still don't know where to go? I hope our power roles are at least leaving trails along the way, so that when they die, we have something to go off of...because right now, we haven't made any dam progress.

I believe now, for two nights, we have stopped the SK, Agent Smith, from getting a kill. We also have a bus driver who knows another innocent person, via the bus drive with Freezie. The big problem is that we probably don't want the trainman or Trinity to come out and say who they protected/bussed each night, or they are now exposed.

So, with that...where to?

I dont think the Vigi kill was attempted yet. From the scene it was the same attacker twice. First appeared as a doc save, the second does appear as a hider. I think this is the mafia's attempted kill.

I think Agent Smith is a 3rd party SK, he is a rogue agent in the movie (we suspected he could be a cult because he had cloning abilities) he performed a kill last night.

The italics, just seem to be actual quotes from the movie relating to the characters in the scene who died. Night 1 was a quote from Morpheus who died.

Just trying to unfog the night so far

If it was a hider wouldn't the person he hid behind have been killed?

Hider hides behind someone and can't be killed...unless the person they are hiding behind is killed...then they die.
