The current army shadows are kind of pointless. I'd either ditch them or go for something a bit more substantial.

Darker, then, or bigger, or just entirely differently shaped?

They do seem barely noticable behind the numbers on the small map. So maybe bigger? maybe a tad darker as well.

When the shadows were originally suggested, something that came to mind for me was having them the same colour as the continent they are in. But that might just be stupid and it might interfere with the army colours.

That might turn out nice, actually. I'll try it and see.

I think that half of the names of this map need to be changed 'cause they're wrong...
I'm wondering if it was on purpose... anyway I prefer one of this 2 options:

- put the correct territory's name

or

- use the funny name showed in the first page of this map's developing:

it was none of these... !

we could add some more funny names, maybe making a world map with the name that Russians, Africans and Asia people would give to Americans and europeans

to the suggestion:NO! the names have been discused and they are fine now.

it's nice to see you taking great interest in the map foundry. In the future, if you are going to make broad suggestions (or any suggestions) as you have made in a couple threads, it's best if you read the entire thread before commenting, to see if what you are posting makes sense, or if any questions you have can be answered. Basically if map makers are going to take your suggestions seriously, you should take them seriously by reading before you post.

In addition, the broad suggestions you made are not really fit for Final Forge maps. Most of the issues have been discussed and really minor details are what need fixing.

I like refried beans. That's why I want to try Draft 23:

mm... I like both army shadow styles, leaning towards the first though. it looked more authentic (young kids don't draw neat circles).

I had the other shape in mind, but coloured. But maybe a bit bigger than what you had because some of the numbers barely fit on them before.

I've just seen this thread for the first time and ... Oh My God... the doodle maps are fantastic. A little light hearted fun is JUST what is needed in CC.

I know the satirical maps are not at issue here but those territory names are hilarious. I do have one question though... Why are the Canadians being associated with mice? ... "Mouseheads"? Are there lots of mice in Canada? ... Any Canadians care to confirm this?

South Park taught me a great deal about Canada, in particular how the heads of Canadians seem to jump when they speak... and how they can't say the word "about". I'm not convinced however, that they look like mice. Still the rest of the territories were funny... laugh-out-loud funny, in fact!

... for the record, I prefer the newest army shadows. Kids may not draw like that but it's a happy medium between a crayon-drawn map and what we expect as part of CC.

... my only fear is that the map might not be very fun to play because it is so small and everyone will want the same location, Africa. How about a bonus of 1, for controlling all of Russia? I think most kids wouldn't realise that Russia is part of Asia. Hell, not even my mother has realised that, yet... :P
This suggestion might be even less popular but you could also add 2 more territories... Hobbiton (Right of Aus) and The Arctic (below Aus)... then make a new continent called "Dan Under".
One of the kids I teach thinks that because the world is round, the left side of maps connect to the right and the top of maps connect to the bottom... With this in mind, the arctic could be linked to More Russia, Greenland and Andy's Mountains... thus making the new continent, Dan Under, less defensible.

No worries if you hate my suggestions, I'm going to bed now anyway, with a smile on my face after having found this thread :-)

EDIT, spelling mistake *sighs*

I believe that this is an intentional misspelling of "Mooseheads." I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of moose in Canada.
Give Wilt a break, he's only 7 :D

Come to think of it, there aren't any maps that I can think of that warp around in more than one direction. Interesting idea...

...Won't be done for this map, though.

Haven't follow this thread at all, but since army shadows arent really needed at all, but make for a nice touch, how about just having the army shadows like a zigzaged scribble?

Er... The top of this map doesn't connect to the bottom though?!
