You may have contributed to lynching scum but that does not mean that you are not scum yourself. The to possible examples are, your a member of another mafia (or SK, cult, etc) or you are part of that mob trying to save your own skin. Either is legit

And I thought you knew how to play?

you never thought that this was my first ever game and i am just getting to grips with it. i have just seen what everyone else has put and then agreed and voted.

I have also already noticed its not going to work so you can stop insulting my theory now and focus on something else (this is like a dejavou of telvainnia's game).
