Okay... so I still have yet to see the new dice! I wasn't in a game at the time of the change, and the game I joined today has yet to start...

I have nothing wrong with you voicing your opinion at all, and I concede that every time a major change is made, the server crashes.

I understand the changes and i'm fine with most of them.
The biggest problem is the fact that the classic map territories are letter and number combos, and the style looks confusing.
I used to be able to look at the gameplay log, and know exactly what was going on because I knew where Venezuala, Afghanistan, and Ontario were.
Now it says, "Player attacked A6 from N2," or whatever.
I can't relate to that, I have no clue what's going on.

It looks hastily thrown together. I haven't seen the other map (centerscape?) yet, i don't really play many others than classic, which is probably what the majority of people do on CC. It definately needs to be fixed.

Lastly, who was complaining, and about what?
Did Hasbro actually say something about the maps?

I seriously doubt that Lack chose those colors randomly. I know it is not much of a claim they have, but, seriously, the new dice look WAY better than the old ones. They fit in with the cc colors too.

Why do they style of the dice need to change with the colors? What's wrong with new colors and keeping the dots?

Considering how many things have changed at the same time - this one just seems to be very unnecessary to me and compounds the confusion and makes adjusting to the more necessary changes more difficult. Most of us have been playing this for a year or more and are used to at least seeing common dice (regardless of the color) during gameplay.

I also have to echo the sentiments that they needed to explain this a little better. I managed to take my turns without major issues, but if I had just started playing a month ago, I'd have left and never come back.

And here I was just getting ready to renew my membership too...

Seriously....make a freaking turtle avatar to show your support. Who are CC's lawyers?? Lack's Dad who threatens all who dislike CC. I guess that law degree came out of a Cracker Jack box (Or Cracker Jacque for the Canadians). Whatever, it is funny to see CC try to spin this like it is no big deal.

Karma, Twill. Karma...the steamroller is coming for you/.

The only problem is that I have left my computer several times in the last hour, and that pattern is likely to continue. I never have a consistent block of time to play speed games in. They require you to dedicate an hour or two in advance; I don't even know what I'll be doing two minutes from now.

Do YOU have a problem with the way the new dice look?

People keep saying the dice changed, and that they do not like it, but none of them have said they liked the originals better. If you want to even talk about this, at least give me some ground to fight for.

Right... sorry... I think we have to refer to them as "Random Number Rolling Blocks" from now on...

Doesn't Risk come with "Instructions" too? CC should call their "Informative Explanation Document"

What keeps happening with this thread? One of my post just jumped back one page. The first few times I thought I saw it wrong, but I am positive now. What are you doing, mods?

Obviously, I wouldn't be on here bitching about it if I loved the new dice.

I'm sure I'll get over it/used to it eventually - at the moment I just want to be annoyed at somebody about how trivial most of this is. And the look of the dice, IMHO, is the most trivial of them all. (Plus, its a little fun coming up with sarcastic terms for everything. :D )

It's not such a big deal. So the dice show a number rather than dots... I don't like to count to six anyway. I'm sure the changed maps (once they get fixed up) will be tolerable, but I will miss dressing like an elf to take my Middle Earth turns (what will I do with all the extra time?).

Yep, that act was totally against the Grey Company!(The LOTR clan here). We were in the middle of our round robin trips middle earth tournament too. And now they are forcing us to play on little squares, triangles and stars.

;) Like I said earlier, I still only ever look at the yellow outlines. I am a bit lazy to care about the numbers.

These new dice really sucks...it's a bad idea to create numbered dice for dumbs. I still don't understand this change. A dice is a dice. As a card game, you cannot change the King by the number 13 !!!! Totally disagree with the new change.
