Here is Version 7A few changes that i have made include:- I have redone the entire map as the other map was getting a tad confusing
- I hae merged a few territs and added Switzerland in order to make space
- Added better mountains
- I have decided against the Mediterranean Bonus and all that
- I have split the middle East into 2 bonuses as well
Things to Discuss- Your thoughts on Capitals as easy bonuses
- Speculative Mediterranean links

Doesn't a bonus of 8 for the yellow area seem a tad bit high? Kinda liked the 5 or even 6 better. Also though it depends on connections with the islands though.

I have worked all these bonuses out on WM's bonus spreadsheet, the reason yellow is significanlt high is because it will be connected to so many other areas and therefore will be harder to hold

While I liked where the old graphics were going, I appreciate your desire to make this easier to work with until you iron out the basics of the map.
Personally, I'd like to see fewer territories that aren't actually on the Med. Some of those interior Saharan territories - Tindouf, Ardrad, etc. - don't strike me as beng particularly 'Mediterranean.' And having been to the 'fairy chimneys' I can tell you they are just tiny portion of the very large territory... something simpler, like Central Anatolia perhaps?
Were you thinking you'd make the Peloponese (sp?) a territory, or a part of Greece? I'd like to see it as a territory, as it is at least as significant historically as, say, Malta.

EditedAs for The Valley of the Fairy Chimneys i will change it to Central Anatolia, is the Peloponese what part is that the hand like part under greece if so yes it is a part of greece unless you would like it as it's own territory

Hmmmm.... Switzerland doesn't quite look right - I wonder if it's because the northern edge should border Germany not Austria?
My biggest concern remains the geography... In my mind the Mediterranean Basin is only the (bits of) countries that are right on the coast:

Great map, looks good.
The only thing that bothers me is that when I tried to make one they got angry because it would be to much like the Europe map, Now we have Europa aswell and you're allowed to make this.

I did eliminate Germany to try and make room for Switzerland since it looked a bit odd switzerland not being there, if you think germany needs to be put back should i eliminate Austria or Switzerland??

MrBenn and the rest of you who have already asked this question, As i said in the introduction:
Introduction wrote:Notice this is not a map about the Mediterranean Sea but of the Mediterranean Basin, and yes there is a difference. If i was to make a map about the Mediterranean Sea, it would of course not include countries that do not share the Mediterranean Sea as a border. This map is of the Mediterranean Basin, which refers to the lands around the Mediterranean Sea that have a Mediterranean climate, with mild, rainy winters and hot, dry summers, which supports characteristic Mediterranean forests, woodlands, and shrub vegetation. This does include some countries like Ukraine and parts of lower Germany.

To me, this map is too dark. The colour of the water makes it almost impossible to read the territory names and connections of the islands. Maybe just lighten it up.
No offence intended, but when I saw Austria next to Switzerland like that, it made me cringe. Possibly, what you should do, is make Austria smaller, increase the size of Switzerland, and to the north of Switzerland, where that little overhang of Austria is, just make it dead land.
I only did a brief overview, so this is all I got at the moment.

Did you not look at the map I posted?

Or this map from the
Mediterranean Basin page on Wikipedia

That's my concern with the geography of the Mediterranean Basin... you'll either get something playable but with messed up geography, or you'll get accurate geography that isn't playable...

I have decided to make this a small map like Madagascar and Doodle Earth, with Standard Gameplay, with no impassables and only 19 territories. Comments??

Personally I think that 24 should be the bare minimum number of territories...

If Portugal is not a territory it should be there but be greyed out like the rest of the unplayable land...
Because Spain looks wierd without it...
