Oh, A special thanks goes out to JR for putting us on the Wall of Shame List! In which he did so without haste or patience to see if it would be lifted. Although I noticed we were quickly taken off as soon as he realized he like many others jumped to conclusions. Thanks pal! Keep up the good work.....

I don't know what the rest of you are thinking but my thoughts are that this problem was resolved way too slowly and not enough effort was put into this. in the end the only people that got fucked was the people were wrongly banned... sure lack wrote his little apology letter but was that really any sort of compensation for almost a week of no forum, no live chat, no inbox service and not even being able to see yours and other profiles? not to mention the 2 days which we couldn't even start any new games and lets not forget that the problem happened on a Friday (which most of us use to start new games for the weekend) basically that whole weekend was ruined.

This whole incident and incompetence by the staff member was not reported nor was it announced and no public statement was ever made on this BIG issue. So far I haven't seen any post saying what will happen to FiresidePoet and how exactly did he screw up this badly and get over 50 people banned without noticing.

The staff member that I talked to on live chat assured me that lack and other high profile moderators had seen the topic hours after it was first posted. So why exactly did it take them almost a week to relocate the names of the wrongly banned back to the normal forums so that we could once again have our privileges of doing normal stuff like checking our Bloody private Inbox which some of us use not only to play games but also to communicate with real life friends and talk about real world things (all the suddenly I don't fell as if the inbox is very private.)

Lastly for compensation I think at least a week (Month?) of additional membership should be given to those wrongly banned. Some of you may be happy with just the fact that the problem has been resolved and that we can play again, but the fact of the matter is that this is not only a game site but a business site and the majority of us who pay expect to get the services that we bought 24 hours 7 days a week until our contract (membership) expires. and even though down time is expected since we all understand the game has to go through maintenance once in a while, I don't believe this to be the case since this did not happen to every one but only to the minority of players who have been convicted of a previous crime, so I fell like not only have we been discriminated against, but we also have been cheated out of our membership due to the incompetence of a staff member (FireSide) and the poor customer support that we received from Lack attack. From what I understand all that lack had to do was move the names of those banned from one place to another and we could get all our privileges back and this took him almost a week to do even though some staff members confirmed that he had read the problem hours after it was posted. The problem was basically paved over and ignored by the staff so that their incompetence wouldn't be leaked through out the site, the only problem here is that they tried to bribe those who got F-ed with a simple private/secret message of apology thinking every one would let it go and move on. almost a week? it happened on a friday like you said and then lack fixed it on monday or tuesday i believe... barely 3,4 days

You didn't make any mistakes...like lack said it appeared there was a glitch in the multi hunting software. Just because it glitched when you used it doesn't make it your fault, it was inevitable that it would happen sooner or later.

It's also not your fault that some people will also always be complainers and never happy with what they are given. Why should you be punished for their thickheadedness, incompetence, and over all poor attitudes?

The masses don't want you to step down .Infact I didn't see anyone wanting that .I suspect they would like some sort of reimbursement for the days lost .I would expect the owner of the site to cough this up though .

I totally agree that he shudn't even contemplate stepping down buuuuuuuuuuut calling the complainers incompetent is totally wrong. The incompetence was on the part of the software which stopped them accessing the site fully for several days...Im sure you wudn't be best pleased either.

Why should they be reimbursed for anything? They never lost their ability to play the games they were in, only the ability to access the forums for a day or two. You don't pay for the forums, you pay for the game and they didn't lose anything in that regard.

I guess I don't see why they feel they are entitled to reimbursement of any kind.

True, you don't have to pay to access the forum. However, these guys, who did pay, were denied access to it and various other mechanisms of the site for several days due to a glitch (and anyone who even suggests FP should step down deserves a swift kick to the groin). A week might be pushing it, but surely (assuming it's possible) a 3-day premium compensation wouldn't be out of order. Financially it would cost lack the change in his pocket, and it might go a ways towards not only assuaging the wrongly-accused but also the community at large.

Not just the average complainer, the person who complains and only complains. People like that (constant complainer) are normally incompetent and can't understand what happens (most of the time), they just believe what they want to and nothing else.

I agree...CC really does have to get Customer service into its head! Just by offering compensation you are turning a negative situation into a positive one! As a business CC should use every advantage to push home that it really treats its customer's at number 1. But alas, this has already been lost and such a gesture (having asked for it) would be lost on the masses!

it is his right to complain if not given the proper service!! I receive roughly 15 emails daily. If it had of happened to me i would have been very annoyed and would have complained as well.

Again, not just complaining...someone who only complains. I'm sure there are people you talk to in your line of work that all they do is complain, nothing else...you can generally say they are incompetent and they will never be happy (no matter what). I work in Customer Service for a living, too, Hulmey...so I know you know what I'm talking about

We are in 100% agreement on this. Three day's worth of premium is currently worth around 21 cents US. Multiply that by the number of people affected, and you're talking less than the price of two people eating at Taco Bell. Bump it up to a week, and that's less than the cost of a steak dinner. Laughably small financial outlay (and it's not like lack would have to pay for it), deceptively large return on investment in terms of general goodwill.

After reading your posts I agree that I may have exaggerated on the things that I said about FireSide, I've been here since 2006 and I know first hand that he is a good multi hunter and he does make a big contribution to the site and to the community. My frustration should be concentrated directly at the software and at lack... I'm not a unreasonable guy I understand that people make mistakes (I know I did), but you should at least man up to your mistakes and give a public apology since this problem involved so many people and for a long time.

Compensation we shouldn't even have to ask, a week or even a month of premium is nothing really and I'm sure Lack would gain a lot more by publicly making an announcement about this bug/glitch apologizing and giving a few days of premium or some sort of other benefit like a CC cup or a CC key chain, anything would do, its the thought that counts....any other business in the real world or even in the internet they would be the first to publicly apologize and give some sort of a coupon or special deal to the client, they would try to solve the problem as fast as they can and they would make sure to treat you like you mattered!

I have payed for premium twice, I have referred at least 20 people to this site and half of them pay/payed for premium that's around $150-300 dollars that I put on lacks pocket alone and yet he doesn't seem to care or appreciate me and the several other players enough to give us a public apology and a compensation that really wouldn't cost him anything but a few minutes of his time. Players, specially the mods are the first to attack me and call me nagger or a complainer but you know what? I'm a paying customer This is not just a game its a business, I payed for something that I didn't receive, no matter how long it was whether it was a hour or one week they still didn't supply me with what I have payed for. Since lack is not smart and appreciative enough to give us a compensation, a public apology and the attention that we needed, I have no choose but to write whats on my mind about this whole situation.

On Saturday after we got our premium back I immediately went to live chat and one of the chat monitors stated that Lack and some of the other mods had seen the topic hours after it was posted, and that they were working on it. He told us not to worry and that this would be fixed soon, he said that it was just a matter of lackattack putting the names of the people who had been banned and placed on a guest list back to the normal members list in the forum. *This was the only explanation that any of the mods gave me* Prankcall was also on the live chat on Saturday talking to the mod and he saw the mods explanation (I'm not making things up). So based on what the mod said it was just a matter of lack putting some names back on the normal database and everything would go back to normal. this doesn't seem like a lot of work at all, maybe 2 hours max? and based on what the mod said that lack had been notified hours after this topic was made, (meaning lack knew there was a problem on Friday and the problem got fixed on Tuesday) it took him 5 days, Almost one week to get a bunch of names transferred from one place to another! and as of today no public apology has been made, no compensation has been given, Heck not even a announcement was made about this problem! if this is not poor customer service I don't know what is... to me it seemed like he waited too long to get this fixed and it seemed like he wasn't interested on this problem or didn't put enough time or effort as he should of had, after all is this not his job? he is charging people for premium meaning he is making money out of this sites its not just fun and games for him and yet it took him 5 days to get a simple problem resolved? if he waited that long to fix a problem in any other job his manager would of fired him on the spot. I guess what I'm trying to say is that to me it seemed like he was too busy doing other things (watching TV?) and he got around to fixing this issue too far too late. if this had been his priority as one would suspect since he is making money out of this, I'm sure he would of had a little issue like this solved in under a day or two.

And yes, I was the mod in chat who said those things, but it must have been more involved then just moving people from the Guests group back to the Registered Users. You said yourself that your premium was reinstated within 24 hours. That's the crucial fact seeing that everyone who buys premium does so to play more than 4 games at a time and/or play speed games. Technically, he did return what you paid for in a very timely manner.

yeah sorry I meant 2006, and thx for admitting that you said that stuff I didn't want to throw your name out there and get you in trouble . and yes my premium was back within 24 hour but none of the other features like checking inbox, profiles, using control panel, posting on forums were working. and yes he did return what I payed for but I payed for 1 year (365 days normally) not for 361. and on Monday when I got home on the afternoon I still had no access to key features, I only got them back on Tuesday afternoon. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday that's a give or take 4-5 days. not a timely manner at all for a supposedly easy task of moving people from guests to registered... not to mention the fact that he tried to pave this problem over as if nothing had happened.
