20 wins on fog of war, bronze

20 posts bronze or maybe 100 posts bronze?

map makers and cc site workers could get medal for their work too

40% winning % bronze
50% silver
60% gold
70% platinum
80% plus diamond

I dno bout the win percentages...those are quite hard to gain for the people with a few thousand games ;)

(It takes me about 100 games won with no losses to raise my percentage)

get winning then, and most would get a bronze or silver, then work your way up, the point is to give more options out there that many have to strive for

I don't think that's a good idea, since people can't get the highest medal for that (and I'm sure most people want all the medals, like me :D)

What about a medal for BEING rated the most?

no, no, no, no... paradice only wants new medals he already qualifies for or can obtain easily. heaven forbid a medal that he would have to work for. i for one love the idea, blitz. i am proud of my win percentage, and am always trying to get it higher by learning as much about the game/maps as i can. i know more than a few people i play with regularly that have seen their 50-60% win percentage drop to the 30% range due to 1v1 and speed games. medals are meant for achievements, and a high win percentage is an achievement. i for one am never going to gain a speed or 1v1 medal, but i don't think they are bad medals, just because they would be hard for me to obtain. people need to take the blinders off, and view the entire topic. the medals shouldn't be just about "you", but about the community. nice suggestion blitz!!-0

Well what about the people who predominantly play standard games? Like 5-8 man ones at least.

And for the record, my percentage is raising because of 1v1 games, contrary to owen's statement.

i didn't say anything about your win percentage, i stated something about my partners win percentage.

where are you mentioned? contrary to what statement, exactly? again, you show the general lack of basic reading comprehension one needs to successfully understand even the most basic of posts. you need to get to work on that, SAT's and ACT's are coming up soon. hate to see you end up in a community college!-0

That's what I was talking about. And I score 99th percentile in both math and writing on PSAT's and 86th percentile for reading. Don't tell me to be worried, I'm fine. In fact, I'm well.

Just incase Blitz decided not to read because owen and I are posting interchangeably, there's my new suggestion.

again, what part of that mentions you? i don't play regularly with you! you aren't one of my partners! so, how is this about you? work on your reading comprehension skills before you try to start up with me again. and blitz, keep coming with the ideas, a few of them are sure fire winners.-0

But you were implying that that happens to most people, since we were discussing the win percentage medal.

no i wasn't. i was showing an example from my own personal experience with 2 people i play with regularly, you can't infer your own meaning onto my words, when what you are claiming is there, isn't there. give up jr, you are wrong, yet again... shocker... now, can we get back on topic? what about a medal for posting?! or how about a medal for bans? i think the best idea in this thread is the medal for pts achieved, so people will be able to see how highly people were ranked at one time... that is a great idea.-0

Haven't read the entire thread so this may or may not have come up already, but the only other medal idea i can think of is a total games completed medal - maybe 100,500,1000 or soemthing like that?

The bronze and silver would need to be higher. Like 200, 600 maybe.

adding platinum and diamond status

currently bronze is 20 wins, silver 100, gold 400

my suggestion would be this:

bronze 20

silver 100

gold 300

platinum 500

diamond 1000

sound good?

PLUS

whichever player currently has the highest score in each medal category gets to hold a special hero medal, which works in the same way as the conqueror rank at the top of the scoreboard.

Could obviously be jointly held (in the case of all maps completed)

good idea

and somewhere thru here i thought i did mention scores:

1000 score bronze
2000 score silver
3000 score gold
4000 score platinum
5000 score diamond

even if anyones score is lower than this now, if they were there once before, they is an achievement, no one would have to feel as bad if they hit a slump, they can be reminded by the medal there score was high at one point.

and big O, thank you for the compliments, glad you are allowed back into the forums :D

how much did coop have to spring for you on bail?

Any ideas for platinum and diamond requirements for Cross-Map and Ratings Medal?
