OK so coming in late here I'm trying to figure out where we are. Looks like I'm in Group 3 replacing millertime. It also appears that we're in the first round of games playing 7 maps in a 6 player fomat. From what I can tell you count wins only. No points for second place etc. The player with the most wins out of the seven games advances with the other 5 players in the group being eliminated.
The seven that advance then play 6 one on one games (one against each opponent) on rotating (random?) maps with the player with the least wins out of this format being eliminated.

The final six will then play 7 6 player games to determine the champion.

Do I have this right?
Thanks
B

here is the round 2 part

After this, the 7 that have moved on will play a round robin 1 v 1 game on 3 or 4 of the maps (best votes win for map choice). The top 6 (of the round robins) will then go on to play a 6 player game on each of the 7 maps.

Tournament results, group 3

Post by Joe B. »

Hey Jennifer,
We ended up in a 3-way tie. Goggles Paisano, V.I. and Joe B. (2 wins each).
We need to set up a playoff? What map do we use?

I updated the results on my previous post, with all game #'s and winners in each.
Please let us know what to do next, thanks, Joe B.

Play off - Group 3

Post by Joe B. »

Hey Jennifer,

Was wondering why we got a flats game instead of escalating in our playoff, was that right?

Just seems like since all our games were escalating, it would be the same. Some times flat games last forever, though I don't think this 1 will.

My feeling is escalating is a little more predictable, flat a little more luck. Just wanted to make sure that was right.

Thanks, Joe B.

Tiebreak group 3

Post by Joe B. »

Hey Jennifer,
I won the tiebreak between Goggles Paisano, V.I and me (Joe B.).
There is a twist here, when I informed them that you acidentally gave us a flat game and seeing it could go on for a long time, we decided to play a speed escalating game instead. I hope that's okay. It's game # 1554533 - private speed game - password tiebreak2.
We are still playing the flat game # 1544802, you can check the dialogue on that game to see we were all in agreement to play the other for the tiebreak.
Write me or the others if any questions, ready to move onto the next round, Joe B.

Next round

Post by Joe B. »

Thanks Jennifer,

It was a hard fought battle and though I won the tiebreak with not much trouble, getting into the tiebreak took luck (and some skill too).
My opponents "Goggles Paisano" and "V.I." really outplayed me in the 1st round and are very good players. They have wished me the best of luck and I will try my best not to let them down. Thanks guys.
Looking forward to the next game, thanks again, Joe B.

Not sure where to vote, but I'd vote for classic for round 2.

Last tiebreak

Post by Joe B. »

Hey Jennifer,
Was wondering what's going on. Looks like you're waiting for the results of the last tiebreak between (mrkaris) and (ogr8cdd). Not sure why they didn't inform you of the results.
I want to PLAY, so thought I'd pass the info along. Game # 1577839, won by (ogr8cdd). Please verify it so we can get this show on the road!

Thanks, Joe B.
