You have a fancy bible with Romans 10:12 missing? You may wish to re-read 2:10 also.
well it seems to me that you seem to have forgotten revelations chapter 7 where it talks of the 144,000 who will be saved... and you also seemed to have not read all of your beloved book of romans....maybe you should look at the entire book of romans before you begin making remarks
I thought you didn't read.

no, God did not want christians divided, denominations are man-made, they were not created by God, He gave us the Bible and man interpreted it in different ways although only one way is exact, which is God's way... as I said He has knowledge beyond our understanding... I am a member of a Lutheran church...This church is LCMS (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod)...I like lcms the best, it is very scripture-based...there are also elca (evangelical lutheran church of america) and wels (wisconsin evangelical lutheran synod) and there are several smaller synods of lutheranism around the u.s. and around the world...lutherans as a whole believe mostly the same thing, however wels is too conservative and elca is too liberal, lcms fits me just right... i prefer lcms congregations with pastors from the saint louis seminary, although fort wayne graduates are not terrible, they tend to be killing congregations and teaching absurd things....

Yep, denominations believe different things. I guess people have different tastes. I went to Army chapels growing up. They were kinda Methodist-like. And that was ok for a time. I went to an Assemblies Of God and knew there was more. So I've been penacostal ever since. I like preaching that is not comprimised but loud and exciting. (like John Hagee) But I have a friend who goes to a Methodist church because he likes it better. To each his own I guess. What really matters is the relationship we have with God.

well...what have you tried?...and of course keep in mind there will never be a person nor a denomination that is fully perfect, as God has knowledge beyond all human understanding
I've been to many churches of denomination. This one lack this while the other lacks that. Went to AOG for a time and decided that being a Christian shouldn't be constant feeling bad for your sin. That along with their belief that unless you speak in tounges you are not spirit filled. Give me a break. Church of the Nazareen does not believe in the gifts of the spirit. NEXT! The church should be united anyways (and not United Universal Church). Do you think Gods wants his people divided?
I was mormon then I realized taht was shit and went non denominational for a while.. I found the perfect denomination though. Universal Life Church.

i have not read all of the accusations, that are listed on this page, of john hagee's false teachings, however you may be interested
and as i have not read them and do not watch his show, i am impartial to john hagee, however he may have some misteachings
i do not like to go to a church and have one of the major reasons i go there as 'loud and exciting'
that is making the church about me and what i want, not focusing on what God wants

"Those that do that which is right"?? No one is Good but God. We cannot earn salvation through "good works". Obviously your religion hasn't researched the Bible much.

Getting swiftly back on topic....
I don't support Israel. Israel does as much shit wrong as the Palestinians do. For every Israel-begun cease fire, there has been a palestinian-originated cease fire that Israel breaks every time. It's nothing but retribution after retribution. Every time one side puts down their guns, the other side makes them take their arms up again.
Israel is just as brutal and cavalier about killing and murder as the muslims that we are supposedly protecting them against. That is why the palestinans don't like our supporting Israel. We're turning a blind eye to the atrocities from the Jewish side of the conflict whilst wagging a finger at the Muslim side.
The best thing that the US can do to ensure some kind of peace in the Middle east would be to withdraw support from Israel and tell both sides that they better straighten up and fly right or we won't help either of them. While we aren't necessarily the only superpower still remaining in the world, who is going to support only one side when we stop doing it?
Oh, Kyle and Jay, you're both wrong. It doesn't matter what you have faith in, just that you have faith. Thomas said "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain 'move from here to there' and it shall. Nothing shall be impossible for you." I have faith that heaven exists and that God or Jesus aren't as petty as Jay would have you believe. However, Kyle, perpetuating this argument when the facts are perfectly clear serves no purpose. Stop feeding the trolls and just cross the bridge. If Jay chooses to subscribe to his narrow view of God's love then that's his own thing. When he gets to heaven and sees people like you and me there, we can laugh at him and go have drinks. Until then, why argue? It serves no purpose other than to postwhore.
EDIT: Then again, post whoring isn't so bad.
I hereby name this page "Honeybear Affliction"

Gotta love the twisting of scripture and/or taking it out of context. You refered to the mustard seed verse. Faith in what? Cookie Monster? Jabba the Hut? ANYTHING you choose to have faith in? And where you got "jay's making God and Jesus petty" is BEYOND me! I hope I do see you and Kyle there but you wouldn't be rubbing anything in anyone's face. Trust that.

I just said what I had faith in. If you'd bothered to read that, you wouldn't be ranting about the Cookie Monster.
God loves me, I know that. I also understand the depths of God, I approach him as a sequence of concepts formed into the essence of being while you approach him simply as your creator. There is a metaphysical side to God that you miss by that approach. I'm not here to convert anyone, and I am no prophet, but I did recieve this knowledge from what you would call God. I didn't have a vision. I wasn't visited by any angels. I never asked for the understanding. All the same, I have it. And I hope you learn it too. A deeper understanding of God only brings positive results.
And now I return you to the topic at hand, and request that this discussion be carried out either in another thread or not at all.

In a completely unrelated topic, what is that freaky avatar from? It looks like a low-gore Hellraiser-inspired thing.

Caleb the Cruel said "WTF is the administration thinknig" should die there was already a thread on israel...
Where?
this is "Where do you go to church? Oh I go here and this is what we believe... yada yada yada..."
See no room for anything related to what I am saying over there.
No offense meant... But come on... If you can't even keep your own topics on topic why tell other people there topics should die?
