I agree that it seems more like a bunch of coincidences. It has become clear to me that ABSOLUTE_MASTER is innocent and nietzsche, I'll give you benefit of doubt. I have cleared the block, reversed the score reset and because this is a special case I deleted all 50 games in question (which nullifies the points gained).

I'm unlocking the thread, on condition that people don't flame each other.

they set up 50 games at once that just "happened" to be deadbeated? and abs gets off b/c she was an innocent bystander.....wait a minute, the only evidence you have that she wasn't actively involved in a point heist....is nietzsche's statement that he had to leave town suddenly. that's it. unless you count a couple of character witnesses that attest to her honor. wtf is that? is it impossible for someone to decide to cheat for the first time? or to go out and attempt to prove a point about the scoring system? or to lie about their level of concern for points?

i don't like abs, that is true. but i'm much more concerned about keeping things above board around here than i am about a personal grudge. any player who almost cracked the top 10 (or wherever it was) by cheating deserves to get slammed. i'd love to see any evidence this wasn't an out and out scam, beyond the testimony of the accused and some shallow character testimony from friends of the accused. even hecter recognized that the evidence was overwhelming.....

Nemph...it think it obvious that it is possible they did it on purpose...but it is also obvious that its possible they didnt...if ABS is busted, and had no idea he was going to deadbeat...thats far worse than not busting them for actual cheating...far worse...they got nothing out of this now except accusations, and im sure many and obviously yourself will consider them guilty...but all the points were revoked...the games deleted

and for the future...if someone tries to set up many games and deadbeat, the points will be reset, and they may very well be busted...

the benefit of the doubt has to be given here, because, it really is possible it was accidental...Id like to think that if something happens, and I deadbeat in my games, that im not accused of throwing games with a partner i have 20 or so with since right now that would be blitz...but dont worry blitzer, im not going anywhere...its just an example

But If i deadbeated right now, Id cost blitz a couple hundred points lets say...I partnered with dug for many, and most know we were cc friends...In that situation, someone might accuse of some insane vengeful plot...and some would believe it...others wouldnt...but Id like to think that since its perfectly possible that I was hiking, got lost in the woods, and had to eat bark for 4 days, and missed all my turns, that someone would believe me, and that I wouldnt get banned for my inability to read a compass....

they handled this well...they busted them, heard them out, and then gave them the benefit of the doubt, cancelled the games, and implied a warning to them and all that even if accidental, this wont be tollerated...In my opinion it was handled perfectly...If they are lying, they are the ones that have to live with it...it would mean they cheated, got no points, and got suspected of cheating by many...and lied through thier teeth to protect thier status on an internet game...I have no problem believing them...because if they are lying, they mean nothing to me anyways, and their scores will always mean nothing, no matter what they do...but since there's no way to prove it was cheating, and it really is plausible that at least ABM was innocent, there is no way to punish them further...the risk of puninshing someone for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, far outweighs the risk of letting a cheater play on...

Despite the fact that there was a lot of evidence that pointed to them being guilty of such a horrendous act (sarcasm) that is point hording, I still didn't think she did it. There was the testimony of both niezt and the people that he got to account sit for him (of which you are biased of, and therefore do not trust), the fact that we know AM and know that her character and morals wouldn't allow her to do such a thing, and, quite frankly, the fact that we don't know that AM was even involved in this. We know why they started the 50 games, as they made it public. I don't know why nietz deadbeated those games, and, quite frankly, I doubt I will ever trust an answer from him or the mods, but the fact of the matter is, why should AM be punished for something we didn't know she did? She's smart enough to know that if she suddenly shot to the top of the scoreboard in a day that people would notice, and then question how she got there. She's trustworthy enough for us to know that she wouldn't pull such a stupid stunt.

The evidence itself supported both stories. The one that you think to be true, and the testimony given by nietz and others. I don't think the mods would have made all the evidence known, and even if they had, it would have been difficult for anybody to create a story that the evidence also supported.

I don't know why you don't like AM, or nietz, but the fact is, she did not do it. I know that as a fact.

i think am just likes to complain... alot .... she complained about spamalot about niets getting blocked and now she is crying about a "misunderstanding" wich i think there was something screwed in all that ... but i am so so so sorry for any one that knows you in real life
