That one was like only 7 rounds if I remember correctly but it makes for a nice little lesson I think.

By the end of round 08, in what I affectionately call, "The Viceroy Strikes Back" round, Cyan ended up with the population bonus as well as those of South America and Africa. The benefits of these bonuses, is not so much that they give me extra troops, as they do, but also because it gives the opponent something to aim for and to try and break. Which is of course logical because if the opponent does not break those bonuses I can put those extra troops right into his back yard and wreck havoc with just a few extra troops.

We come now to the final round where it can be noted that this game could have been won by Pink. Pink got a set of spoils worth 40 troops Plus 3 troops for 5 regions for a total of 43 troops. The only problem is that Cyan has a total of 49 troops on the board. It is a physical impossibility to eliminate Cyan's 49 troops with only 43 troops. But had Pink's original 11 troops in Montreal been more retro-active in this round, it would then had been a total of 54 Pink troops versus 49 Cyan's troops. Good point about moving troops to the front lines. May have turned the game.
