What Tammy says...I never disagree with the Queen! However, I will say that I sorta understand where the TDs are coming from in that this is a slippery slope for them. The site does not allow "intra-clan"/"intra-usergroup" tournaments. This has been discussed ever since I have been around. Why not expand it to include boys too and have girl on boy or boy on girl (whatever your preference ) action? I'm in if that will help! Woo Goo! Tammy Rulz!!!!

Yep,these can solve these obstacle,just 50% drop out of usergorup,and you can play tournament,and when finish you can come back again to usergroup

if i started a 16plyer 1vs1 tourney open to the public, and say....10 people from ++The Legion++ signed up, then it would be against CC tournament rules?
...because i would bet money, something like this has happened already. let them have the tourney.

Just because all the participents are from a usergroup it shouldnt mean they cant participate in a tourney as only one pairing can win. And as already mentioned it was open for all girls not just the ball busterz. Ive played in plenty of tourneys that have been top heavy with clan members and their have been no problems.

Let them have the tournament and keep an eye on it.

It sounds fine too me. Girls are a minority on here anyways they should get some special treatment

No spots were reserved for any particular user group. all persons wishing to join posted publicly in this thread and not through daze's inbox from what i have seen. there was ample time for anyone to join (6 days of open spots) so it's not like daze had a list ready with people who would join and within the first 30 minutes they're entire user group joined.

It's really bad etiquette to say something is okay then go back on it. let them play

what's wrong with a ladies only tourney?... let 'em play! its a game for fun. if the ladies wanna get together for a sleepover and some conquerclubbin', let 'em do it... i wouldn't mind watching though...

You can count me in - I don't know other cc ladies (yet:), so pair me up with whomever - my attendance rate is only 93% from past when I used to miss a lot - but I try to cover myself now when I'm working too much so I'm more reliable. Thanks!

When I granted dazerazer the original permission to run a female-only tournament, I chose to allow it because of its novel approach. I knew of the existence of the female-only usergroup, but I hoped there were also enough females who were not a part of the group in order to fairly participate in the tournament. However, I did not foresee that the tournament would become an active recruitment method (intentional or not, that's what happened since I've been informed that a bunch of new members have been added to the group). And I don't blame the group for wanting to add new members.


CC has had a LONG standing policy regarding the use of tournament privileges for private tournaments of ANY kind: they aren't allowed. This policy has applied whether the group of people was an established clan or usergroup on CC or just a group of friends/coworkers who had signed up together and wanted to do their own event. The policy was established in part because of the possibly large amount of time the Tournament Directors would have to spend trying to keep track of all of the private tournaments run across a myriad of places on the site (many of them in private). As such, we work diligently to make sure all tournaments using the privilege system have as few restrictions as possible to preserve the status of being a "public" tournament.


Under current rules for CC Tournaments, I have decided that having a females-only tournament would not be allowed. This is because the current roster interferes with the private tournament rule and because then we would have to also allow male-only tournaments. However, as Tournament Directors, we also have the discretion of providing exemptions on a case-by-case basis if we see the need. Because I had granted preliminary approval to the tournament to the organizer and because the tournament has brought some new people to CC Tournaments hopefully to stay, I have chosen to officially grant an exemption for this tournament to be run. I have already granted privileges to dazerazer, so she can start making games whenever she has the opportunity.


This exemption does NOT extend to any other gender-exclusive tournaments that may be in the works or be developed in the future. Gender-exclusive tournaments are not currently allowed under CC Tournament rules and will be locked and canceled if they are posted. However, because of several comments from different people, I am open to hearing a discussion on the topic if there is a desire to write a legitimate and fair policy that covers gender-specific tournaments. If you would like to make a case for such a policy, please post and discuss it in a single thread in the Tournament General Info forum.

Tourney has been approved and privies handed out
