No. Lying should have consequences. She is a liar. I called it after reading the first post. When I questioned it, everyone jumped on me, calling me names etc. I didn't make her post a completely unbelievable fairy tale. I am not wishing her well, until she admits that she is an attention whore and she receives a forum ban for spamming up GD with nonsense.

Not everyone, but I will say that you and Owen did get singled-out unfairly for taking the originally unpopular stance. I think what irked many people is that you guys weren't the most tactful when it came to pointing out the holes in the story.

Uncle Death wrote:This has been an interesting read along with the other threads. Occasionally I play a doctor on TV and from the description of her injuries it sounds like her peritoneum might have been pierced causing sepsis and one treatment possibility is a drug induced coma. Now this is just a theory that makes the story maybe a little bit more plausible. Sepsis does affect the mental condition. Just so you don't start thinking I'm really smart, I googled this stuff and here are some links.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peritoneum

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001687/

http://www.everydayhealth.com/blog/zimn ... t_id=28095

This is just speculation on my part. I take no sides, of course I hope for the best. If I were to play a lawyer on TV and were her defense council I might point out that she may not have adequate health insurance, the sepsis wasn't detected right away, it has affected her mental state, and that she had to wait for treatment. It doesn't sound real plausible though and since we have all experienced internet fakes and hot chicks turning out to be transgenders who drug you and do bad things to your stuff "down there" while you're passed out, calling bs is a pretty good bet.

Coma's are used when your brain is swelling, due to tramatic injury. Not because your lungs are both punctured, along with your stomach, but the hospital keeps changing the day you are to be admitted to die. .

I was just trying to help out. Maybe the fever prevented her from communicating the problem correctly. She's probably way out of it with fever and panic and she's not herself. Lymes Disease can do that too.

She just died, people. Show some respect.

OK, look, to be totally on the level here, I had known IR since she was eighteen and a day. I know this because she told me so. She turned out to be a GREAT(holy chorome-off-a-trailer-hitch!) friend as we often met up when she was passing through on her way to "acting" gigs(she always put up the quote signs when she said "acting" for some reason. I always thought was pretty cute, myself).
Anyway, a lawyer-friend of mine told me that she died from a massive internal hematoma caused by repeated blunt-force-trauma to the back of the throat ninety-nine hours after the person that had rented the room(for seven days and will remain un-named) she claimed she was assaulted in had officially checked out. Furthermore, there are nine witnesses that coroborate her story that she was "still good to go for days" after the "room-renter" had left.

Any lawyers here? Sounds like a pretty air-tight alibi for the renter-of-the-room, don't it?

Seriously now, lemme know. For a friend...

Don't it?

Nonetheless, jb and owen brought up some pretty good points. She was released from the hospital with internal bleeding? Waiting for 2 days (on an internet forum no less) for people to come take her to the hospital with those kinds of injuries? A brand new account that knows EXACTLY where to go in the forums only to post a couple things about IR?

Sorry, this just seems fishy to me on a few levels, and then some.

Not a medical expert, but I have worked enough emergency services to know that it is possible to have internal injuries, walk around not knowing it and then have it wing up being very serious. I hope this is not true, but it could be.

Given all that has been said here, I will leave it at that.

Ummmmm.......Okay so does she expect people to believe that she was in the hospital where they told her she had a punctured stomach, kidney and liver failure, and internal bleeding from her uterus and then they sent her home and told her to come back in a few days?

That doesn't even sound likely if she lived in a third-world country.

Except there is no bus coming. Even if her story is 100% bullshit, nobody is hurt by it. If my neighbour suffers from the delusion that he is the reincarnation of St. Francis of Assisi, it doesn't cost me anything to just nod and smile.

Is that so?

Think of all the people who have come to know and like this invisible internet character known as insomnia-red. Not saying anything about the mental stability of people who put so much emotional attachment on an invisible internet character in the first place, but I digress...

Those people were obviously shocked, suffered a great amount of mental trauma, when they heard that this invisible internet character that they have never met was supposedly dying. At the very least, those people were caused emotional suffering, and if the story was bullshit, then it was for no good reason.

Emotional suffering. Think about it.

It could happen to you.
