I grew up on a farm too. I've eaten brains, lungs, testicles, and stomachs. I draw the line at tongue, though. It is just so amazingly hideous to look at! I just can't eat it.

Haven't eaten any of the above but I've had plenty of tongue in my time. Not sure what it's like on your side of the water but here we get it sliced so it just looks like any other meat really. Never eat it with cheese though, that's a disgusting combination.

I like mustard and I positively LOVE horseradish! I could probably choke down that sandwich in the picture. If you look closely, though, you can see the dense epithelial columns of the tongue. I don't know what it is about that tongue surface that nauseates me, but it does.
