I got a Terry Gilliam vibe off shot 4, and 5 made me think of The meaning of life (which it turns out he co-wrote but Jones directed). The hotel room in shot 6 gave me an ill feeling scene flashback, but the Johnny-in-bat-country shot 7 reassured me.
I love Gilliam's Twelve monkeys, and like The fisher king, but the rest of his stuff is too uneven for me.

Nope. It's a comedy (that's actually funny) and a thriller, and is a great watch except for the end.
