I put a dummy vote out there, in case I don't get back in here before deadline...don't want to see what happens if I don't vote.

scum if pershy is scumMudPuppy wrote:Finally all caught up. I'm totally on board the pershy wagon but will vote no lynch to get a vote in without hammering (would like to see a claim).
can you explain this to me please?MudPuppy wrote:Finally all caught up. I'm totally on board the pershy wagon but will vote no lynch to get a vote in without hammering (would like to see a claim).

So basically - player X visits cities and went to King's Landing and learned there was 1 anti-town. So far I am fine with that, I mean I already figured that there would be at least one scum in each city - would be logical. (That’s why I haven’t been that forthcoming in my city so far as I don’t know who to trust. Ninja has been top of my suspects). Then betiko says that the player visited me and that means I’m scum.betiko wrote:Player X visits cities. Player Y didn t know that and tracked player X last night. He asked him today why did he visit pershy. Player X said he couldn t visit players but cities, and he went to king s landing last night, where he learnt that there was just 1 antitown there. Player Y says he double checked with storr to see if there was no mistake and storr confirmed.
So this isn t sure to work, but we decided to make some further checks in here. No one knew if pershy was from king s landing, so I came in the thread to ask him if this was true. Had he not been from king s landing our reasoning would ve been bogus.
But the theory is that when player X visits cities to find antitown, he visits the antitown themselves. Had he found 2 antitown in king s landing, and player Y had seen him visit only one person we couldn t have jumped to this conclusion.
Well if this is as true as it sounds then the shit is going to hit the fan. The bit about it being well overpowered that he tracks the only scum in the city rings very true.pershy wrote:
Aw man - what happened to symbolic votes? Now I am set to be lynched. Shames cause there were some interesting cases out there that I thought were coming together and we could have actually gone somewhere today but now there's no time.
Now I see that there is some good investigating and speculation going on but I can't help thinking that a lot of this is a scum ploy to get me lynched so FOS some of you who are bandwagoning and betiko for starting this in the first place.
I mean - think about it logically for a minute -

THIS is what I want you all to think about – so does that mean that the player only visits scum? That would mean 4 visits, and he’d tag 4 scum. Hardly sounds balanced does it?
So I find the case very weird indeed and can’t belive no one has questioned this. I feel like I have no other choice but to vote betiko for doing this to me. And I really hope you’re scum betiko cause when I flip, it sure is gonna look bad for you. His case is that X player visisted King’s landing, visited me and therefore I am scum.
Now surely we can use this. Maybe that player can clear me. I cannot kill, I have no weapon etc.
Now I will have to come clean so here’s my claim and I have no doubt it will still get me lynched anyway grrrr.
I am Shae – that’s why I am based in King’s landing. I am a whore and manipulative and seductive. Each night if I choose I can take another player to bed and distract them from performing their action. So I guess that makes me a town roleblocker.
Now – I supposed many won’t believe me at this stage and some will say it’s bull of course, but it’s potentially a very powerful role for town. And could give us information too – I am positive that after what people shared, that I have a scum couterpart out there and my role helps even it out against the scum roleblocker.
Cause you see I didn’t use my action on N1. That’s why I was very interested in what Charm had to say and I hoped that if I could sus out who might be the scum rb, I could rb them or even better prevent a kill. On N1, I had no clue and didn’t want to get in the way of power roles which of course is always the risk, but obviously I wanna try and use my power wisely. But I figured on N1 that I didn’t have much chance of using it well so my action to the mod was NOT to take anyone to bed that night.
On N2 I blocked ninja-bunnies and still stand by that action. Yup, I’m the culprit for that one. NB is still high on my suspect list. In King’s landing there are a few I am starting to trust – SW, Boone – but ninja has thrown around accusations early on and caught my eye. I didn’t manage to prevent the killings last night so I know that ninja couldn’t have performed them.
Now it looks like I will be lynched soon and there’s not much I can do about it. It will only take 1 hammer so gl and look at what comes of this. Maybe I was wrong about ninja but as I say – he’s one to look at and will be one of the potential scum in King’s Landing.
However – after what has happened today I feel I have no choice but to vote Betiko for starting this business and on such a weak case…in fact bogus case, so as I said I hope u r scum betiko cause u will probably get a lot of attention for this case when I flip.
GL and give Tryion a kiss from me lol.

I struggle to understand what this sentence means as it makes no sense (in terms of the English language) Did you mean in informant in your town? Or information filtered into your town from another source?
"he visits the antitown themselves" would generally suggest that he meets the anti-town, if you meet someone you at least know who they are or even share few words with them.betiko wrote:regarding your second remark in big letters; where the hell is that supposed to mean that X is talking to people in king's landing?????????????????
Nevertheless, wether it s an informant from the outside of from the dread fort (irrelevant for you to know, FOS for fishing for this type of information) you seem to understand that it was something discussed in our town. So when you say that "at no point did I mention it was in our city thread" you are totally skimming.
2) If a mod tells you player A visited player B as a watcher or tracker result, you assume it means the players know each other and had a little chit chat during the night? How can you jump to this conclusion?

It means I think Pershy is our best case today and I'd like to put my mandatory vote on him but, since he was at L-1, I did not because he hadn't claimed yet.boonetown wrote:can you explain this to me please?MudPuppy wrote:Finally all caught up. I had other options besides no lynch: betiko (equates to NL), or a secondary case... but I am of the opine that my NL vote doesn't matter since a better case won't emerge. I just wanted to get a vote recorded. In hindsight, I guess I should have just abstained since I assume the "mandatory" vote rule doesn't apply if a majority is reached before day end.IAmRobik wrote:scum if pershy is scum
I am not discounting this... but I am willing to see a flip to see if it is true. But if pershy is town, then I want to know who we are dealing with, who put the false target on his chest.MudPuppy wrote: I do believe that there is one scum in KL and I hope it's pershy since he won't be saved. If not, we need to choose between the remaining three tomorrow. Now, what would be pretty cool, from a scum perspective, is if KL was scum free from the start and mafia did invent this ruse to basically lead to the whole town being lynched in search of this one non-existent scum. I don't think that's the case but big kudos to them if it is.
Firth was totally obsessed with the throne in our thread, to a point that killing other town seemed like simple details (goes well with the mountain character actually) as long as he could secure the throne, whatever it meant. When he died nothing about the throne biz was even mentioned...strike wolf wrote:So my guess as to the Throne/Jak/IamRobik is as such. There is a division in this game that has the win subcondition that they must possess the throne when they die (or maybe just their side possesses the throne). I believe Hotshot (Stannis) was one of these roles. Jak/Robik also appears to be one of these roles. I have the feeling the throne seekers are not of any one particular alignment but a mix of the existing factions.

I am going to vote IAmRobik, this slot is still blatantly after the throne despite the change in drivers. I see nothing in any of the flips so far that indicate what the throne is and so are assuming that it is third party, anti town.
I will be around at the end of day tomorrow and you guys are getting use to my end of day antics. If there is enough support I will kill pershy at the last moment and let the next in line be lynched in his place.
It is bed time now in New Zealand so I will see what the town votes by tomorrow morning. If there is no support then I will do nothing. If pershy is already lynched so be it but if town wants two lynchs today then let me know in the next 10 hours.
ugh - don't you see how crazy that sounds? X player would automatically visit only scum? As I said that doesn't sound balanced or fair at all. Why would they ONLY visit scum. Still hoping they can clear me if they found any more out about me during the visit.legionnare wrote: I guess just a misunderstanding of how you worded it then.
It merely peaked my interest as I don't see how just because player x visited the city he would automatically seek out the Anti in there.
exactly my thinkingMudPuppy wrote: Pershy's claim sounds moderately reasonable and he's definitely right about not being able to count on the person that "Y" tracked to be scum. But betiko has already stated that it's just a theory... and a pretty decent one at that. Perhaps a more likely theory, though, is that Storr just randomized everyone in KL and took the top name.
Um no - not really. I was considering other cases, but betiko tested the water with me and then went for me with no case. I don't necessarily think he's the best case - but after what just happened of course I'm gonna vote him. Anyway it's not desperate, as I said there were other cases out there I was thinking about before all this, but it's just a shame we've come onto this tack.MudPuppy wrote:Pershy FOS'ing betiko sounds a bit desperate.
I agree that Shae is more scummy in my eyes, she is a manipulator and I would place her in the "bad character" camp, but we've already established that GOT character and alignment have no correlation.MudPuppy wrote: Still, flavor-wise, the claim probably sounds a tad more scumish than townish

I would like to you to give up some names Betiko... no more X's and Y's. Who are you protecting?
why 3 blocking characters strike? charm was roleblocked night 1, pershy says it's not him, so that would make 2... who else has been blocked? this only works if you are aware of a second person blocked on night 1. Without saying who, can you confirm you are aware of a second person blocked night 1? in that case, I do get your 3 blockers theory, and that would make no sense.strike wolf wrote:Yeah. Not buying it. Either Pershy did use his role block N1 and is lying or there are three role blocking characters out there.

Pah - why does that not surprise me?Nebuchadnezer wrote:Ya...interesting, but nothing to change my mind. ##vote Pershy
Which wouldn't surprise me in the least. Maybe a town one, a scum one and another - 3rd party? Anyway, I can choose whether or not to use it. What?!?!?! I already said THERE IS NO CASE!!! Can't you use the tiniest bit of intelligence to see that? I already showed how the way I was visited can have nothing to do with my alignment and am STILL waiting to see if at the last moment that visit could save me by giving more info. You are being a sheep and are not looking objectively at the facts or are bandwagoning my friend! Putting attention on one of the other KL players would indeed be a good move cause this is BS.kgb007 wrote:Switching my vote to pershy, I don't know why anybody that was waiting for the claim before voting was going to change the case already put forth, it seems like riding the fence and I FOS all people that are saying they want a claim before voting. it's the best case we have, we hopefully got ourselves a scum or narrowed the list down to the 3 remaining KL players
