And that is why you are learning little. We cannot TELL rookies what to do, that is scummy in as of itself. Read old games, talk here, figure it out. You might get hung, but hey, there isn't much point in coming here and not playing.

There is no way around it..you learn by playing and watching other games. A quick way to being lynched is by lurking in games you are suppose to be playing.
Unvote Isaiah
Until we figure out what is up with our cop situation Chuk can not be relied on for investigations.

A better way to say it. we can't help you at all if you don't explain what you don't understand.

Okay guys, Im just trying to get it moving. What do we know? I would assume we have two killing factions, mafia and SK (either that or a vig). We can also see that one of the factions killed both nights (same accent, same gun), and one did not. We can assume that through flavor one was a bomber that did not kill night two and one is either the vig/SK. Since he kiled both nights, he is either overeager, not experienced with the role (should not have shot night 1, etc) or he is an SK. I would lean towards Vig since someone said the weapon he uses is standard NCIS equipment, but as always that might not be true. I dont know anything in there that we can build a case on but if we stay silent and just let the time go by then we wont get anything.

I think we have a mafia (terrorists hence the bombing) and a vigilante. I don't think a serial killer would use the same weapon as the NCIS unless it is some sort of traitor.
Assuming the mafia is some type of terrorist organization is it possible that they have a kill/recruit option? maybe nobody was bombed last night because they recruited somebody instead?

I highly doubt that, unless there is a small amount of mafia to start, as that could become highly unbalanced, but it is an option I suppose. Im assuming it is like an arsonist and they were just allowed to start the game N1 with a kill instead of dousing (or whatever they do between kills).

Maybe their is a Salulus, but I don't think mafia will be able to recruit anybody.

My wheels are just spinning here. I have suspicions, but nothing I could even pretend to make a legitimate case upon. Personally I am an advocate of SK + scum, rather then just scum. Cult doesn't make a lot of sense, cops and the military are (supposedly) good guys who don't go bad and that is portrayed in everything I have seen so far.
As far as thought as to who are actually said scum? Well, if I thought I had a legitimate case I would have posted it already.

I'm not sure about the flavor. SK seems more likely, but I don't know if an SKer would make sense in the NCIS world. Was there a mole or traitor within NCIS? I mean, mentioning the same gun twice is definitely a deliberate thing by the mod I think.

Only one that comes up is Michelle Lee and she doesn't seem to fit the killers profile. Alejandro Rivera was a Mexican official working with the NCIS for a short while (would fit the man with a heavy accent description) but as far as I can he didn't use that gun. His only real target in the show was Gibbs..

So on one hand, we have the kills seemingly originating from town. On the other hand, the consistency of the kills and the fact that the GF was killed on Night 1 tends towards either overeager vig or SKer. I'm forced to conclude minus other evidence that we have a vig and they are indeed very trigger happy. Whether or not this is forced due to role constraints is up in the air, but I think there is a stronger argument that it's a vig and not SKer at this point.

I agree, it seems the shooter is not trying to kill everyone, but trying to kill for the greater good.

If we don't get anything going here I am going to advocate lynch the rookies. I should have some time to read tonight to see if I can find something better, but I will place a vote one way or another tonight.

I agree, considering the pro's will most likely use their roles more effectively then their starting up counterparts. I might also reread it, out of pure boredom of having nothing to do since I got my wisdoms out today, but its unlikely since there are pretty good drugs to go with that ;D.

LOL..thats exactly what Chuk suggested with Happyfeet though I believe it was more for inactivity then newbiness. With the case of Happyfeet it would be putting pressure on the" inactive rookie."
So far everything begins and ends with Chuk. The question I have is would a cop be needed if we had just an investigator? Could Chuk be a legit cop and his results were screwed with?
The point I am trying to make is this...I do not believe all we would have is an investigator and a paranoid cop. SO
1) Chuk is paranoid and there is someone out there who is a real cop and they have not come forward.
2) Chuk is real but his results have been messed with..."Amis"s could mean he is paranoid OR it could mean his results were messed with by mafia forces.
Seeing how we are at a seemingly dead end I have no problem putting pressure on Happyfeet. He popped in only when attention was brought to his inactivity and said he was not sure how to play because its his first game and he said he had been following the game but didn't know what to post...

time to sink or swim..why wait.
Vote Happyfeet

I doubt we will have anything come up between now and deadline (which by my count is around 100 hours maybe?), and since everything has to start from nothing I will Vote happy feet to see where it takes us.

Ok I'm caught up. About the CM5's roleblock, I think he should share it. We might not be able to build a case from it, but if more and more evidence piles up later it could be useful information.
edocsil wrote:If we don't get anything going here I am going to advocate lynch the rookies. I should have some time to read tonight to see if I can find something better, but I will place a vote one way or another tonight.
Lynch the rookies? Really? That's a terrible idea. Just because someone is new doesn't mean they're scum. And what if we have a mafia full of experienced players? Then we are essentially helping them win. Major FOS to you and new guy (who agreed with you).
Now, I could understand lynching the inactives (such as happyfeet), but that is drastically different from "lynching the rookies".

While it is possible that there could be a mafia framer out there, its not something you can entirely account for. A framer framing the correct person two nights in a row is a rare occurrence, so I'm inclined to believe there is something else at work here.

I also FOS edocsil about the "Lynch the rookies". sounds like he just wants to end the day. maybe take heat off of a lead that we have?

Getting worries there
We have 5 days to go and I do not see you or Mr. S putting out better ideas. That being said that wagon formed waaay faster then it should have for an offhand comment like mine.
My reread thoughts. Those who were killed by that gun wielding "vig" seemed to have acted slightly scummy. Perhaps it is in fact a vig. The counter argument to this is that a SK needs to kill the Scum just as much as the town needs to. Still not swayed one way or another on the mater. I will assume SK until another threat to the town materializes, 16 is too much for a simple town vs scum game, even if there are a few survivors.
As far as legitimate cases on reread I saw little. I cannot make a case beyond chasing after submariners/other players not contributing, and that is a meager case at best. I will see what the evening brings in terms of opinions before voting, I think we may get some good discussion tonight.
