Well, I found a rather enjoyable past time (being stuck at home with a cast on, non-weight bearing, I have time). Writing cross over fan fiction. Already put out 3 chapters, with the 3rd alone having over 4,000 words. 161 views so far, but I'm having enough fun just writing it out, and seeing where it goes.

Well, after you take Christ out of Christmas, send him over to my house. I got some cool bottles of water that would be better as wine.

Christmas Eve, just staying home and watching Christmas Specials basically. Christmas Day I'm headed up to my mom's place for a little. How long depends on whether or not I get my stinkin' cast off my foot tomorrow.

And though I am having fun writing my own fan fiction story (cross between a character from Dragon Ball Xenoverse, and the DC Universe), it seems a number of other people like it. 10 chapters out (working on the 11th) and already over 640 views.

I guess I am bragging a little, but I really am enjoying just writing out the story. And if other people enjoy it, that just keeps me more inspired. And I started writing because most stories I found on there, good or not, barely get past 3 chapters, if that. And very few have actual character development/growth, story archs, etc. I know it is free to everyone, but I've come across several "stories" that were just a single paragraph of words. A "word wall" if you will. And then there are the ones that don't bother to tell you who is saying what. Or the lack of even the simplest of grammar. Like periods or capitalization.

Eh, still enjoying it though.

It was okay. Went up to my mom's, which is kind of an apartment complex type of place/ community place. Food was good, and spent time with family. But had to deal with a lot of "cattiness" from a number of people.

Well, where she lives, some people up there are a lot like family, while others I barely know by name. But yeah, a lot of "cattiness" went around.

Also got a watch. It's a nice watch and everything, just I have never really ever worn watches (and they should know this). And the person that got it for me, got it on Amazon. So returning it is kind of out of the question.

actually that might not be a good watch.... If that is what it is showing... seeing as how you don't know watches... Most good watches have numbers and hands on them... not monkey asses and balls.

Can I just say this song reminds me of a lot of the things I like about 80s music?

Some Bon Jovishness, some Journeyishness, a slight sense of power ballad, just a little bit of cheesiness.

Far more than Bon Jovi or Journey or any of those things, it makes me think of Pink Floyd during the Wall era. In fact, I'd bet you could splice that song into the Wall somewhere around Goodbye Blue Sky or Comfortably Numb and it would fit right in, seamlessly.

I hear a little bit of it in the sound but the voice seems kind of similar to Steve Perry but he tries to do some things vocally that sound just a bit similar to Bon Jovi and something about the guitar picking pattern reminds me of Dead Or Alive...if that doesn't sound crazy. obviously the picking pattern in Wanted Dead or Alive is a quicker but something about the twang I think...Tonally it doesn't really fit in with the theme of the wall. The emotion is there but it's not the right emotions being expressed.
