The Animorps series is what got me into reading (prior to that, most of what I had been exposed to was meant for teaching kids how to read, of which I could do quite well, so I was extremely bored with the reading material to that point). The TV series, well, let's just say it lasted 1 season for a reason. But nowadays, with the technology available, and a good cast, it could be a really good movie series.
