Incredibly enough, if the three teams win the rest of the games they have before the last game, now Barcelona has more chances, which means they will be more motivated to beat Atleti which helps RM. But now RM needs Atleti to lose, if they had won today they would only need a tie.
Apparently Ancelotti had planned to give rest to some players and he didn't change the plan after Atletico's defeat. We missed Pepe the most, but we also missed Modric, Coentrao and Di Maria.
Right now:
Atletico de Madrid ..88.3
Barcelona ..............85.6
Real Madrid ...........83
Games left:
Atletico: --------------------------------Malaga --------- @Barcelona
Barcelona: ----------------------------@Elche --------- Atletico
Real Madrid: --@Valladolid ---- @Celta --------- Espanyol

Final score: Crystal Palace 3-3 Liverpool

well the barça and the atleti also let tons of important points escape in these last 4-5 stages.nietzsche wrote:Sevilla wins it.
Maybe it'll be better to have home and away matches in the finals instead of only 1 game in random city. Deciding in penalty kicks is not fun.
And there will be a La Liga final. But now RM has no chance. WTF happened to RM? If they would've won his past 3 matches which was what everybody expected they would be in his way to win La Luga on Sunday.

actually red bull saltzburg is a club doing very well in europe, a bit like FC basel, was curious to see what happened there while i was at it... and no surprise, they won everything!iAmCaffeine wrote:Who cares about Austria?

Oh fair enough, might be worth keeping an eye on. I like FC Basel. Didn't PSG win another cup as well?betiko wrote:actually red bull saltzburg is a club doing very well in europe, a bit like FC basel, was curious to see what happened there while i was at it... and no surprise, they won everything!iAmCaffeine wrote:Who cares about Austria?

they won the french supercup last summer but i didn't add the national supercups in this summary of the season (also maybe you missread but they won the french league cup, basically the same type of season as man city their twin)iAmCaffeine wrote:Oh fair enough, might be worth keeping an eye on. That's correct.nietzsche wrote:Who do you think will win the CL? It's different from who do you want to win it.
turan and diego costa are still out for saturday right? it's going to be a hell of a job for the atleti after last week end's celebration.nietzsche wrote:Who do you think will win the CL? It's different from who do you want to win it.

that's because some major clubs never (or very rarely) play in europa league.betiko wrote:If the atleti makes it, they will be among the "happy few" winners of all major 3 european cups. Last year Chelsea joined it, but there are many big clubs such as real madrid, ac milan, inter, united..... that aren't in that very private club!
The europa league is the same thing as the uefa cup, it was called this way 3-4 years ago.DiM wrote:that's because some major clubs never (or very rarely) play in europa league.betiko wrote:If the atleti makes it, they will be among the "happy few" winners of all major 3 european cups. also some of the clubs won the cup winners cup (current europa league). for example real madrid won it in 85,86 when it was cup winners cup, but never participated since it became europa league.
