Why is it -3 on the grand oasis? When you get to an osis in the the desser it like saveing your life. Only the Dessert should be - atleast i think..
Conqratz btw.
The Grand Oasis has a bunch of traps around it, to keep the treasure safe. once you get there your people die because of the traps, which is why there is a -3.
ok then great work:)

Actually, neutral killer would make it impossible to win the game. Neutral resets happen before checking for bonuses and/or objectives.

Nope, its definitely before.
game log on arms race, if you only hold "Missile Launch" shows this when you start:
2008-06-28 12:37:48 - wcaclimbing lost Titan II MISSLE LAUNCH to neutral player
2008-06-28 12:37:48 - neutral player eliminated wcaclimbing from the game
if it calculated bonuses/objectives before, it would have given me "3 armies for one territory".

did you guys notice that Erac is the only territory not within four attacks of an Oasis?
I'm not saying one thing either way. I'm just saying it's interesting.

ha. you're right.
not a big deal, though. Just don't start your armies there if you own it
So, this thread is stickied now. Does that mean anything special happens?
Cause there have been less comments with the sticky than I was getting without the sticky

.
Just wondering what the sticky means for this map, other than being close to final forge....

it means that there's not much more to be done with the map. Expect to reach the final forge in, say, two months.

also, if you don't keep updating your map in that time, this map will be considered abandoned. so stay alive!

It means you have all the stamps necessary to make it to FF - and thus - if anyone has any special comments to make - now is the time...
By the paucity of comments since that happened - I suspect this will be forged pretty soon...

I'm sorry has this done colorblind tests?
i still don't love the fonts after all this time. it won't stop me from playing but at least i said it.

it doesn't really need colourbind tests, because there are no cloloured continents to distinguish. the only thing really would be text, but i don't think it will be a problem. safer to check though...
i still think the small map is quite small... not a big deal though. i'll just play on the large
nothing that's bothering me... final forge?...

wait I thought we had color codes for the colorblind issue, so maps didn't have to worry about it, anyway yeah I'm all for FF LET"S GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ps- excellent work wca, know its been a long road and a few failed attempts, but this is really something to be proud of (ah periodic, the good old days, lol)

Colorblind is about the map, not the armies.
It might be an issue if something in the Key up top couldn't be seen by a colorblind person. But no one has commented to say so, and all the colors up there are different from the background in brightness, so even without color you could still see that the text is darker than the background. At least, thats my thinking on it. How would I do "color blind tests"? I've always just seen some colorblind members come in and tell that X and Y look the same color.

Thanks a lot. Its taken a long time to get to this point.

I'm sorry I actually meant army positioning and colorblind triple digit test. But I suppose that will be done when you get Final Forge?
I mistakenly thought this was in final forge already!

All the 88 and 888 tests will be done once XML is finished.
I know you guys are going to be mad, but I'm going to have to put this map on [vacation] in a few days. I won't have access to my computer or Photoshop, so that will mean no new updates.
Zimmah and I are getting the XML finished up behind the scenes, and It will be posted once I get my computer back (in about 2 weeks, i think)
....

uh oh, 10 is pulling away from the rest in the poll....
but no one is posting to tell WHY they like 10.
Most people posting have agreed with 6, I've only seen a few posts supporting 10...

Forget the poll, 10 is overkill.
Majority is not always right, you know...

Besides, if 6 and 10 have the most votes, then (if you're going to go with the poll, which you shouldn't), you should really do a weighted average.

three territories. 6 armies on each.

you guys all have that same avatar so I didn't know the last post was yours (where you said it was staying at 6). I was showing my desire for it to be 6 cuz otherwise it's too high.
