Everyone in the show is a cop. I would guess there are a few investigatives.

Wait, I'm confused. Aren't bomb's usually town? In which case nobody would know if someone is a bomb or not. I think the idea of a mafia bomb to be a bit OP.

There is an NCIS episode where a suicide bomber kills an agent. yomiel seemed intent on getting himself lynched and I speculated the he would "blow up" and kill the person that hammered him or more based on that episode. Whether that would be called a bomb I don't know but I figured it would be a scum role.

Now, obviously I was wrong about yomiel but it doesn't change my "guilty" result on jak.

Nor has it changed the fact that I admitted to being 3rd party and gave out the only way I can win. I don't agree that my character should be a 3rd party but I'm not the one running the game. However with a bit of speculation on my part, I believe the only town are members of the NCIS team. Everyone else is a 3rd party or mafia (In this case my 3rd party seems to not be town but at the same time it's alliance must be with town because of the win condition).

You can babble and WIFOM all you want on the case. I've come forward when being brought out and I've given my claim. Either lynch me or let me live. Also, it's not really a bold statement to say that he is most likely the prime target for the real scum now. Even though they must be happy they got off without any of them being found out.

Anyway, I don't see the huge point in lynching me just yet, seeing as I'm forced to work with town if I wish to win anyway (Gibbs gotta be alive).

Two things.

Would a third party come up guilty? Why would he come up guilty?

either 1) Chuck is telling the truth and he got a guilty, which would mean Jak does not have Towns best interest.
2) Chuck may be a paranoid cop and everyone comes up guilty.
3)Chuck is lieing, which would not make sense this early in the game and after losing the God Father.

We may have a SK as well. Jak claimed when questioned, but what else could he do?

I think you said it best yourself, your character (as far as the description of him goes) should be town, not 3rd party. And seeing that its a pretty common occurrence for scum to fakeclaim 3rd party characters when investigated, it makes your claim somewhat unlikely.

Ultimately, we have a cop claiming he got a guilty investigation on you. You are putting up a rather good defense, but the fact of the matter is that if we ignore this result we are undermining the entire purpose of having a cop. Unless someone can come forth and give an explanation as to why you would come up scum (busdriving or some other misdirection is all I can think of) then I'm afraid I'm going to have to trust the claimed cop on this one.

Check with most mods. 3rd party comes up guilty unless the cop has a specific faction indicator. "Guilty" only means non town. He did not get town, 3rd party, or mafia, making his role simply a "town or not town" cop.

Which seems funny that no one else is bringing up. Because it's common in the games I've played that the cop can only tell whether they are town or non town. Whether they are 3rd party or mafia comes up depends on the mod.

I have to disagree somewhat with that assessment jak. SOME mods may make third party come up guilty, but in my experience, only anti town third party players come up guilty (Sker or cult). Survivors shouldn't come up guilty.

I really have to play follow the cop on this one.

So Crazy can back up that he's paranoid anyway. So that really helps out for the ones saying it's because that since I'm a survivor I shouldn't come up guilty.

Though that's an odd role CMS, I thank you for helping out.

Anyway, seriously Saf? You think that a Survivor would come up different from an SK or Cult?

We need to determine my sanity as soon as possible. If I;m paranoid I am useless (at night anyways) if I'm just insane I can still determine mafia/town. Any suggestions?

How do you get that he is paranoid from that? Because if the wording was exactly "something is amiss" then I would think that he is referring to the second part of that post (in bold). Since the second part is speculation, then obviously our mod can't afirm or deny that.

If I misunderstood the wording though, then it could be anything...
jak111 wrote:Anyway, seriously Saf? You think that a Survivor would come up different from an SK or Cult?
I agree with saf. Most games I've played, the cop will get either a innocent, guilty, or 3rd party result. So a survivor would be the same as SK or Cult.
thechuck51 wrote:We need to determine my sanity as soon as possible. If I;m paranoid I am useless (at night anyways) if I'm just insane I can still determine mafia/town. Any suggestions?
Personally, I don't think you are insane. In games with 3rd party characters, that leads to some gray areas. I also don't think you're paranoid, but thats just intuition. If you want to check, I suppose tonight you could target crazymilkshake. If you get scum, then you might be paranoid (or the two are playing a very dangerous game as scumbuddies). If you get town though, then jak needs to be lynched.

unvote until we figure this out.

Survivor investigation is mod's discretion. I will say that I have seen third party survivors come up as innocent in games before. Whether or not that applies in this game I cannot say.

So CMS. If you had a one shot ability and it came back thath teh claim was solid but something was amiss. How did you find out specifically it was referring to paranoia?

Guesses/Eliminating possibilities I assume. I can say I'm probably "guilty" however I'm not anti-town.

But this is leading me to a question. WHAT is amiss if it's not the flavor of the cop? Or maybe it's talking about when he suggested I was Scum/SK/Cult? As in those 3 suggestions are wrong (I'm a survivor with a special win condition so.. XD)

He did say that chuck is not lying about anything, he is in fact Ziva David, who is a cop, but the thing that was amiss was the result he got. so by process of elimination he is either paranoid, insane, or jak is a (Hidden?) miller.

We know you found out he is a cop and telling the truth. Is the "somthing a miss" applied to the investigation or the person investigated? Are you able to determine if the problem arises from Chuck, the problem arises from Jak or is it ambiguous?

Hello everybody, sorry if this game started back up yesterday I was on a plane and was too tired to read up on anything. Speaking on current events, the "something amiss" might also hint that the investigation was flogged with a bus driver as well, just to make sure everyone doesnt leave that out too. I believe the chuck's claim, but because of Crazy's result I do not believe the results of his investigation. I also can see why crazy would not want to fully claim (hidden win condition, might be wanted dead by someone in specific), and so I do not deem it nessesary for him to fully claim.
I am not familiar enough with the show to take any wild guesses at it, but Im assuming it is in forensics which would lead me to believe either Ducky or Mcgee (sorry if I spelled it wrong), as I believe that Mcgee helped with Abby at some point. I could also be Ducky's assisstant, cant remember his name, as he is a learner and might make mistakes which would lead to paranoid or incompetent.
Im sorry, thinking out loud, but those are my current thoughts.
