So you disappear from the site for months, and the first thing you fight about upon return is whether or not Obama making a speech setting aside a portion of his signature legislation? What made you deny reality while gone?

Is this your coy insanely wingnut anti-Obama way of saying that you missed me?

Or are you really upset about people being late?

I'm upset about Obama behaving like a dictator and thinking that his words have the power to change law without Congress.

“HHS will be using its enforcement discretion to allow for this transition,” the official said, according to the Washington Times. “Enforcement discretion can be used generally in transitions, as well as a bridge towards legislation. This is something that has been used, for example, with the deferred action for childhood arrivals policy, pending immigration reform.”

Choosing not to enforce the law is legally different from changing it, and something this President has already done a couple of times.

Just because he's done it a couple times doesn't make it legal. The executive branch is tasked with carrying out the laws. They do not have the authority to toss a blanket over all enforcement of a law. Prosecutorial discretion was designed for use on a case-by-case basis, not as a blanket policy to ignore the implementation of a duly passed law. Remember all the Democrats crying that Congress couldn't change Obamacare because it's the law of the land? Why aren't they crying about Obama blatantly changing it through refusal to enforce it?

Because they like Obamacare and want to see it work? Or maybe you've gotten a bit to used to Glenn Beck and the whole crying schtick?

Obamacare official scorecard. Since the goal of Obamacare was to get more people to have insurance coverage, let's tally up the figures so far.

According to the official numbers of people who have successfully enrolled thus far as put forth by the Administration's own numbers, 106,185 people have gotten insurance based on the Administration's somewhat suspect interpretation of enrolled.

By contrast, 4.02 million people have lost their coverage.

So we have a net score of negative (-) 3.9 million people who now have no insurance where they at least had something before.

Not too bad considering we are dealing with an incompetent, ill conceived and poorly implemented government program. (And I should mention, expensive government program)

But like all liberal plans, results don't matter if there are supposed good intentions. I like good intentions, but I apparently also judge how those intentions have fared by looking at the actual results of the implementation of those good intentions. Thus far, it's not looking good at all for the ACA.

But hey, what matters who gets shafted just so long as there are "good intentions" abound!

Just give it time. Soon, 10 million will have lost their insurance, and there will be 200,000 people enrolled in Obamacare. Then, just give it more time.

No matter what the bill says, no matter how many lies are discovered, no matter if the law actually does the opposite of what it intended...this is to help the poor, and if you're against it, you are a cold heartless bastard, even though they are the ones responsible for 4 million people losing their insurance. They are still compassionate.

Sure, some people signing up for ObamaCare might not have to pay taxes (amazing; maybe you mean on net they don't incur a loss from government policies?), but they still need to file IRS forms in order to receive benefits, so it still helps to be aware of methods to avoid one's chances of being victimized by the IRS.

A fascinating number in Wednesday's CBS poll is that only 7% of the American public want ObamaCare "kept in place." A full 93% either believe that changes are needed to the law (48%) or want a full repeal (43%). This pits President Obama and Democrat lawmakers -- who thus far have refused to make any meaningful changes -- against 93% of the American people and 72% of Democrats.

Moreover, only 12% of Democrats want ObamaCare "kept as is." Another 12% want it repealed.

If only 12% of Democrats want nothing changed with ObamaCare, there is no question that Democrat lawmakers and the president are defying their own base with this ongoing refusal to make any real changes to the law. Furthermore, they are blocking proposed changes, including changes proposed by fellow Democrats.

The growing narrative from the media and ObamaCare champions is that Democrats need to "stay the course." Analyzing the Democrats' political options, ABC's Rick Klein writes today:

Lost in the Democratic angst over Obamacare is a simple fact of 2014 politics: They don’t really have any choice but to own it. … No quantity of votes on “fixes” now will matter in the broad messaging wars later; no lawmaker, and virtually no Democratic challenger, will be able to seal him or herself off from potential political damage.

Klein is not alone with this advice. But how exactly is that a smart play when 84% of Democrats disagree?

A fair question to ask is, "What kind of changes do Democrat voters want?" A poll released by ABC News yesterday showed that two-thirds of Americans oppose ObamaCare's individual mandate. There are definitely some Democrats in that group.

It is also safe to guess that a whole lot of Democrat voters would like to see laws passed that ensure people don’t lose the insurance Obama repeatedly promised they could keep. But those are legislative changes the president has threatened to veto and Democrat leaders refuse to even put to a vote.

As the 2014 midterms loom large late next year, ObamaCare is almost certain to have begun its rampage through the lives of the 95% of Americans who are insured through group and employer plans. The administration itself predicts that tens of millions will lose their insurance as the new employer mandate kicks in. For obvious reasons, the media is covering this fact up. But cover-ups can't stop reality from becoming reality.

By this time next year, "stay the course" is probably going to look like a suicide pact.

Customers who were previously excluded by the same insurance companies because they were likely to be a net loss for the insurance company. They did not want those customers unless they were able to actually pay the premiums that would offset their higher risk.
