Re: Golfe du St. Laurent - it's alive!! [Final Forge]
I'd gladly do the XML, as unit_2 hasn't visited since April 26. Would that be infringement on their map?

I am so sorry guys I have not been on. Its been Baseball, School, Homework, Tests, Family, etc. and I have had very little time on the computer.
If you will T.K.44, please do so. I screwed the XML up and I can't get it fixed, so if you can that would be great. I would love to play this map and get it up but I don't have time to do it. This map has been in the making for over a year now, I don't want to see it gone.
Please continue guys and do what you need to do to get it up.
Unit.

Let me see if I have this straight... lone_prophet did the graphics but lost the file, I've been redrawing the map to fix problems based on just the jpg, and now .44 is going to do the xml for you?
If the mapmakers have abandoned this project (which it seems they have) I say put it in the bin until they can come back to it.

Re: Golfe du St. Laurent - it's alive!! [Final Forge]
To bin or not to bin is the question here.
My vote would be on not to bin as the map is in the forge and close to completion.
More maps for players to play surely.
Clearly, the map is moving towards being a community project but if killing and oak are happy to finish it off then why not?
(Worth ensuring that assistants completing maps does not somehow become an expectation though).

Re: Golfe du St. Laurent - it's alive!! [Final Forge]
I agree that it would be a shame to send this one to the scrap heap at this stage of the game, but I also understand oaktown's frustration. I wish that I had the time, ability and resources to help with the map, but alas I am merely a commentator from the peanut gallery. That being said, if oaktown, thekilling, the original mapmakers, or anybody who's interested in making this map a reality is willing to do what it takes, kudos to you...
Re: Golfe du St. Laurent - it's alive!! [Final Forge]
putting this in the bin doesn't mean the map is dead forever, just until one of the mapmakers can find an hour or two to complete it. It shouldn't take any longer than that. And while somebody else could spend the time, I'd personally like to see one of the folks who stands to earn a medal step up.

Re: Golfe du St. Laurent - it's alive!! [Final Forge]
I hear what you guys are saying, and I agree that overall it'd be best to have the map added to the site. However, one of the good points in the discussion amongst stampers was that it's probably best to set a good example and have the graphics person (LP) not apparently lose the .psd and have oaky have to use the .jpg to edit the image. Also, having the XML guy (unit) actually finish the XML instead of having me fix the 60-something errors as well as do all co-ords is the way the Foundry should operate — not that I'm not willing to do the XML. I agree with the sentiment that the makers should step up for this.

Re: Golfe du St. Laurent - it's alive!! [Final Forge]
Following the precedent set with the Romania map when [player]foregone[/player] disappeared, it's about time this map was sent to the recycling bin on the premise that it appears to have been abandoned.
If one of the mapmakers wants to pick it up and run with it, then an update will be required to see it moved back into the Foundry.

You know what... Give me 3 days and I will have the XML up with the cord. and no errors.
Is this map done all besides the XML? Oak or Benn should probable answer that one.

if he has it, he might as well just give it in. The whole point of somebody doing it is to get the map finished so it can be played, and it would be quicker if 44 does it

geez, at this point so many people have worked on this map I think we should just call it a group project and slap a generic "Foundry" sig on it!
Anyway Sailor, I hope you're not starting over with the code - it was done months ago and just needs the coordinates updated to fit the modified map size.
Here's what I have from when I hosted the XML, before I resized the army circles... I think that whatever 44 has may be more up to date.
